  • Well, my first day of c25k I burn about 300 calories. Wear a bodymedia. I can't say if that is close to what you burn because I don't know how much you weight or how hard you pushed yourself. That is just what I burned on my first day. I'm done with week one now. For some reason my thing isn't loading so I can't tell you…
  • I don't really know how bad the pain is or anything but I have fibromyalgia and when I first doing cardio it was my bike. I found it easier on my lower back and hips (which those were the places I usually had my bad pain). Swimming is another one that you can do that wont hurt you. If you are going to do cardio then don't…
  • Some people don't like it but I don't mind it. At first I tasted the difference but now I like it. I did buy the baking stevia (big green bag... I don't remember the brand) I can't use it, it makes food taste so weird. I use Truvia now, I was using the drops but they don't carry them out the grocery store I go to so its a…
  • Sounds to me that your "friends" are a bit jealous. I hear it all the time from people that are bigger (or bigger then a person they are talking about) that "skinny is gross" "she needs a hamburger" "men don't like bones" ect ect ect. You look wonderful. Don't change your body because someone else doesn't like it, only do…
  • So glad to hear you like it. At this point its just excitement... its not like I LOVE it yet (which I hope I get there, I really want to). It MAY be because I ate about a hour before I did it though, I have to work my workout around my son sleeping since I do it on the treadmill (running outside isn't an option right now).…

  • If that is you in your picture then I don't see the tattoo changing MUCH. Does't look like you have a lot to lose. However if you are still worried about it I would just wait. Better safe then sorry. Good luck.
  • Have you ever TASTED baby food. Um, YUCK. Most Moms/Dads out there have. I know I always tasted stuff I was giving to my son at that age. Its gross... and bland. Eat healthy "grown" up food, count your calories and get active... period.
  • Back when I did take the pill I didn't gain weight, I LOST weight. I didn't realize until way after I started taking it that the reason why I felt sick all the time was because of the pill. My body didn't do well on it. It all really depends on the person. I can't take any BC without feeling like feeling super crappy.
  • You could always do stuff that doesn't "look" like a workout. Go for long walks outside or go swimming in the pool. Like other people said climb stairs or do extra laps around buildings on the way to class or back home. You can always lose weight without workout out, but its best to get moving a little at least. Good luck!
  • I'm going to be 25 and I still don't drive. I have tried.. and HATED it. I rather someone else (my husband) drive. I have no need to drive anyways... if I need something it within walking distance.
  • :blushing:  Oh goodness!
  • I just blame it on the Amish. Just kidding though... but their baked goods are amazing.
  • I lost nearly 20 lbs.
  • Dude, it sounds like you are trying to shove IIFIYM down my throat. I DO that, I'm not cutting out anything I love, I don't sit around shoving salads down my throat just to lose weight. I just wanted to know how to up my protein more.. end of story. Thank you for trying to "prove" to me that I don't have to "diet" but I…
  • We're trying to help her, she said she doesn't have much money, protein is most expensive macro nutrient. 2nd the point is not to believe everything you hear about protein. People hear all these things like it's a miracle super food, it's not... We are "helping her" get in touch with reality and stepping her away from myth…
  • Grilled smurf sounds awesome.
  • I eat my calories (1958) everyday, no matter if I go over a macro or whatever. I meet it as close as I can. (just wanted to make that clear) My protein is set to 35%, fat is 20%, and carbs is 45% (I'm using Scooby's). So I'm trying to get as close to that as possible.
  • You are right I don't have any deficiencies, BUT I like to keep my diet well rounded. My protein was on the low side so I wanted to rounded it out with my carbs and fat.
  • No no, tipS (I like multiples)
  • Thank you everyone for great tips, I honestly should have known some of these. :embarassed: Now I have a good idea of what to buy at the store this week. You guys are great! :flowerforyou:
  • Thank you, but I love meat way to much to cut it out.
  • I had snacks as a kid and wasn't overweight. Its all about what you give the kids. My son eats snacks and he is so freaking tiny. He always asks for apples and 'nanas (bananas). You are suppose to eat more then 3 meals a day, if I only ate 3 times a day I would feel so stuffed at meals because I have to eat about 1600…
  • I have fibro, the key thing is start off light and work up from there. Walking/riding bike to start off then you can up it to something harder. You don't wanna over load her body at first or she will be on her butt for a week (or more). The stronger she gets the more she can do. Make sure she counts her calories, that is…
  • Yeah I'm mad! I want some freaking Chinese! :blushing:
  • The reason people gain weight isn't from "dirty" or "clean" food its from eating TOO MUCH. You can gain weight on healthy food just like you can gain weight on bad food. I have a 2 year old and he loves pizza we get it once in awhile, doesn't mean I eat the whole pizza by myself. Then afterwards we play a kinect game or go…
  • Evil food is the best-est. :drinker: No really though, any big change in diet can upset your stomach. I wouldn't say its evil, just a belly ache. BUT if you don't wanna hear about it then that is your choice. I will continue to eat some "evil (and dirty) food" once in awhile as long as it fits. Enjoy your journey.
  • I don't care about getting a "dancer's body" but I do like trying new things. Can you find these videos on youtube?
  • What you need to learn is sometimes you can HAVE that cupcake, as long as it fits in your calories. Will never understand why people think they have to cut out everything they love to lose weight. Just have to cut back.
  • On MFP plan you are suppose to eat your exercise calories back BUT you are right the exercise calories are probably way over. I would try and either get a HRM and track your calories that way or only eat back half of your exercise calories. You don't wanna eat to little and you don't wanna eat to much.
  • The less you have to lose the slower it comes off. You probably should be eating more then 1200 calories. So if you bump up your goal to .5 a week you will be able to eat more.
