  • I been a stay at home mom since my son was born. So 4 years. I understand the struggle since at first eating was insanely hard to do, there wasn't ever structured meals since with a baby it's hard to do that (at least it was for me). Now I don't overeat because I have a set schedule. We sit down together to eat our meals…
  • Yes/No - Yes What platform do you prefer? PC mainly, xbox or wii if playing with family. Favorite genre? RPG Are you casual or hardcore? Casual How many hours do you play a week? This one depends. I don't play as much as I use to. Busy with my son and fitness related things. I play whenever I can sometimes that means 0…
  • First of all if you are considering it you have to go into a weight loss clinic. They don't just set you up for surgery the next day. They will most likely set you up with a healthy diet, and monitor you closely and if you are still not losing weight then MAYBE consider surgery. You are on the low end of what they would…
  • You did put this under the weight loss HELP board, but you don't want help? Then what was the point in posting this... let alone in the General Diet and Weight Loss Help area?
  • I wasn't even going to say anything but then I took a look at his diary. So much this! Aren't you starving? I mean you eat less then I do and I don't eat a lot compared to most people on here. You need to figure out a healthy balanced way to eat. Only toast for breakfast? No lunch at all and then a small dinner? There is a…
  • THIS! If you are gaining you are eating too much. I changed my diet all around, I rarely ate bad food and cut out soda completely. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't lose weight, I kept hearing I wasn't eating enough but bumping my calories NEVER helped. I cut my calories and like magic (or not so much magic) started to…
  • The thing that people tend to forget is that you can create your own recipes, which means you can sit down and do this one time and then anytime there after that you want to make whatever "healthier choice" all you have to do is add it into your food log. It's not really that hard, I much rather take some time and build…
  • Going to a doctor and dietitian is working for me. I struggled way too long with stupid "diets", so I gave up trying to figure it out on my own and went to a place that knew what they are talking about. Now I'm finally losing at a steady pace. No stressing anymore. Simple. Everyone is different, so something that may work…
  • My hair starts coming out extremely bad when my iron drops, I struggle with my iron levels and it's usually one of the signs that it has dropped to the point I have to start taking pills again. It always comes back though. That being said, I am not sure about the VLCD... most likely you are missing something your body…
  • There is no difference, and there isn't "fat everywhere". Like that was stated above, we are our own worst critics. We see flaws that no one else see.
  • Food doesn't make me feel sad, but I have some issues with food making me sick. I have a sensitive stomach so when I decide to "go off plan" I feel it the next day. I get very sluggish and have an upset stomach most of the day. You might just feel off today, like other said drink some water and get up and moving. You will…
  • Everybody is different. Some may find they need more water then others. I personally find if I don't drink enough water that the next day I feel slightly stiff (mainly in my hands). I have also found that drinking enough water has cut down on crazy cravings for food. I use to wake up at midnight STARVING, since drinking…
  • Congratulations! So exciting. Good for you for taking a different approach this time around. With my 1st I did the same thing, free for all eating and gained a ton of weight too. I'm still working on getting it off. If I ever have another I will be tracking with MFP and making sure I get healthy food, not just food that…
  • I don't do any of those things and I still am losing weight. I mostly drink water but it would be a lie if I said I ONLY drank water. Oh and... yum cake (everyone has made me hungry for cake now, thanks!) <3
  • THIS! I do this all the time, and was about to link the recipe for it. I love it! http://theeverygirl.com/feature/coconut-oil-honey-hair-mask
  • I agree with the above. Your doctor knows more about your health and your blood work then people on the board. Yes, some people have no problems eating whatever they want and still lose weight. There may be another reason behind why he told you to cut those things out. Did you ask him? Did you try and talk about this…
  • Just because they don't have an addictive substance in them doesn't make people NOT addicted to things. People with addictive personalities can become addicted to a number of things because of how it makes them feel while doing/eating those things. You should probably do some research before coming in here and telling…
  • 3 pounds is over the "average", as long as you aren't starving yourself and eating plenty of calories then you are doing fine. Depending on how much you weigh then it's not unhealthy. I have been losing about 3 pounds a week also, and I'm being tracked by a doctor. There is no reason it's unhealthy unless you aren't…
  • This so much! It's not the industries fault if someone overeats sugary, processed, or any other food that is high in calories. It is as simple as calories in/ calories out, does it mean someone will be healthy if all they eat is chips and drink soda? Probably not. Doesn't mean you couldn't loses weight if you ate those…
  • Yeah, I didn't really get sarcasm from it either, but I have heard people use this logic a lot more then I would like. It really is a shame.
  • Oh geez, this is what is wrong with people. TV isn't babysitter. You know what happens in my house if my son is not playing while I'm cooking and/or cleaning. HE HELPS. Yes, my 4 year old will happily help cook and "clean" (I suppose it doesn't always feel like helping but he tries).
  • Honestly I rather my son drink home brewed green tea then soda. Might be a step in the right direction. I'm not saying they should have said water is nasty or anything but there is nothing wrong with some tea imo.
  • We wouldn't be here if it wasn't. :D Yes, it's extremely helpful.
  • You need more protein, and you lunch sounded like a snack to me. No wonder you are so hungry. Why not pack a salad with grilled chicken on top and a serving of fruit on the side (like an apple)? Breakfast was ok but might find it more filling to have something like eggs with veggies mixed in or oatmeal with fresh fruit and…
  • You are losing at the correct pace. Keep doing what you are doing. :)
  • You win! <3
  • I'm not old, just not 12... and I'm allowed on this site. Go talk to your parents if you want help with your weight and diet.
  • Oh the lovely teenager quote "You don't understand!"... I believed I pulled that a few times too. We all understand perfectly well.
  • Why don't you talk to your parents and doctors if you are worried about your health and diet? What happen to that? I would have never came online and asked strangers at age 12 about stuff like this (then again, I didn't have a computer or anything like that either). Speak to your parents, and get off this website. It's…
  • I think it depends on why you are unhappy in the first place. For me, I was in horrible pain nearly every single day. Don't get me wrong I'm still have bad days (fibromyalgia) but better food choices and daily exercise has made it much better, therefore I'm happier.
