I agree with "Whitestar", I do 5 - 10 minutes cardio before weight training, Then 60 - 70 minutes weight lifting depends on speed & equipment availability. I do 20 minutes of cardio everytime after weight training. I DO NOT exceed 3 times a week; but I do other cardio exercises everyday such as cycling & tennis, that…

Guys; many thanks, that is very informative. I think I am not optimizing my exercise properly.

The first two weeks since I started I was on low carb "or no carb" diet; I lost so much weight too fast that I realized I needed to change my routine, I am now incorporating carbs but very limited and I am still loosing weight but slowly and steadily. I do not believe in extreme diets, balance and common sense always…

I am also new into this; I started only last week; I agree with most here, my trainer told me one hour after exercise, it helps re-build your muscle tissues after weight lifting, as far as weight loss, I am not sure!!!

When I started my lifestyle change in exercising & eating healthy, one day over a dinner table I was amongst family with a small salad and a grilled chicken breast in my plate; my brother in law said "you need much more than that to loose weight" I smiled with a burn in my heart. He is in my mind everyday when I go to gym.

Once a week, if you're comitted to exercise routine and a healthy eating habits you can see better results, I don't like everyday weighing and being paranoid, it means something you're not doing right either eating too much!! Not exercising or simply paranoia, just relax and try to weigh in once a week at the same time.

Take healthy snacks in the car & simply kick this out of your mind. Everyone without any exceptions have these cravings, if you wanna loose weight you have to be committed; this is not a one day journey its a life long journey.

I do eat the calories burned through exercise only if I am hungry; otherwise I tend to keep it off; I still feel good and strong; it also works for me this way

I am exactly like you, see my dairy it's public. I am very serious in my diet plan, but for me it's not diet it's a change in lifestyle. So do what makes you feel good, as long as you're achieving your targets

Hi; welcome to MFP; don't worry, it will take time but you will reach your goals. My formula is like this. 1- Do sensible targets that you can achieve 2- DO NOT expect miracles in a week or two, this will take time 3- Don't cheat on yourself, keep track of what you eat on this site, it will keep you motivated 4- Exercise…

Humus is made out of garbanzo beans & TAHINI (sesame oil) & other spices, garbanzo beans are good for you so as the sesame oil; 2 TBSP of TAHINI has 210 calories, 18g fat, 3g of saturated fat & 9g of protein; you do the match if you think it suites you. I hope this helps

In my opinion, you don't have to be 100% accurate, if you have a certain data available but not to the exact product i.e. something similar use it; I do this all the time. This is a tool to keep you within a range & I am sure most of people on MFP are within +- 5-10% accuracy.
