  • Yes, please be patient. It will happen. There is no way you are destined to be 216 forever. Maybe mix things up a bit? Sometimes that helps....or maybe it just kills time while your body is being stubborn.
  • Agree. Don't reproduce. WTG, OP. I'm weird about my baby/fat-abused belly and boobs too. Thanks so much for posting this.
  • Yeah, I want to be able to come back to this later.
  • Could it be PMS related, maybe? I suck at running and don't want to do it when it's that time of the month. If not, maybe try some other kind of workout. You can't be grouchy when you dance.....
  • I'm sorry that you are in pain, both physically and emotionally. I creeped your profile and think your journey seems amazing and difficult, past, present & future. I wish you every bit of just-hang-in-there-ness that you can muster on days like today. I wish you many more days of easy happiness. That said, I dig your hair…
  • Yay! ????
  • Holy crap. This sounds great!
  • A lot of workout videos are really hard. I run, do yoga, and kettlebells regularly. This Jillian Michaels kettlebell workout nearly killed me. So I went to a different kb workout for several weeks. Went back to Jillian yesterday and it killed me less, but I was still shaky and nauseas afterwards. LOL Moral of the story:…
  • I kind of think the article was attempting to be a little funny? No biggie, man.
  • For me the key was SLOW SLOW SLOW!!! "Run" slower than you can walk. When you feel winded, see if you can slow down rather than walk or stop. Very quickly I realized that using this technique I could last an entire mile. Then 2..... Also, music. I don't know if I could run at all without good music. GOOOOOD LUCK! :) :) :)…
  • That is a fantastic amount of weight. I am very impressed! I only have a 15-pounder. :-P
  • Thanks for sharing this!
  • Fun. I've run in a couple of soakers too. It made me feel like a kid outside playing in the rain.
  • Helpful post! Thanks! I'm behind in my training --- six weeks left -- eek! I've been babying an injury. (I've done 8 miles previously, so I'm hoping to be able to get right back up there without overdoing it.)
  • Yeah, I log under strength too. And then I'm pooped and sweating and out of breath for 67 calories or something like that.
  • My husband has been fasting 2x per week with great success. (He is doing the 2 days consecutively, though....super hero or a crazy person, not sure). He fasts 2 days, "diets" 3 days, and then just goes a little crazy the other two days. It is working well for him. I, on the other hand, have been netting about 1300-1400…

  • Weather is nice so I drove to work with my sunroof open, which illuminated my lovely patch of gray. But then I decided it's my patch of credibility.... Oh wait, this isn't a rant.... Oh wait, I'm supposed to be working....
  • Bump for new friends. :)
  • I know the feeling. Whenever I do the "a bite here; a bite there" thing and log it, it really adds up fast. Damn kids and their nuggets!
  • When I decided I wanted to start running last year I kept it a secret for a while....but then when I tried it and had similar success to yours, I realized that WOW I could do it and then I was hooked. Awesome for you and YES it is a big deal!
  • Some days are harder than others. Especially if you're hormonal. Coffee is my bestest friend. Tea is also helpful. And don't beat yourself up. I ate about 100,000 cheez-its last week. (They are like crack to me.) Stuff happens.
  • OP, that was a good ad and a nice post and you seem to be a good person. Somehow your kind sentiment will not be good enough because I don't think it is PC to notice that women are women or generalize us in any way, shape, or form. Have fun and don't get your feelings hurt with all that may follow.
  • I didn't read all your replies, so maybe somebody already said this, but I think the fact that you are so young will really help with any loose skin. You have natural beautiful elasticity. :)
  • There will always be someone prettier, slimmer, smarter, funnier, richer, nicer, cooler, etc. etc. etc. The trick is to try and not compete...just enjoy your time out with your friends. Life is short and one day you will be old. You are every bit as good as the other girl....and exceptionally pretty too, by the way.
  • You can manually change it back up. I like to eat. 60 calories matters to me. :-)
  • Yep, slow is the key. Slower than you walk. Stupid slow. So slow that you feel like an idiot. ******But then the magic happens*********** You realize....I'm still going....I feel like I could go a little further........ (And when it gets hard, instead of stopping completely, try to slllloooooowwww doooowwwwn even more.) It…
  • You don't need no stinkin' program! You seem to have figured out what works for you. I began running in January w/o a program. I read a lot about running and went as slowly as possible to go further and further. Now I can comfortably run 5 miles at a 10:30 pace. I can go further and faster, but that's my comfy zone right…
  • You are right salladeve. Even the implication that my poor judgement did not calculate that my post would be so offensive to good guys. However i fear no one will care. They will only quote what they want to quote. (watch out...that's my victim mentality speaking) Maybe this will get quoted: All men are *kitten*! All women…

  • Oh yeah....and I am changing the title to Dear more physically imposing humans that may forget that you are more physically imposing: All better? I seriously did not mean to imply that men are more likely than women to be rude *kitten* in public or anything like that. I just meant that when some *kitten* does this and that…

  • Intimidated. Yes I got him away from her. He was just a jerk. I am sorry for hurting all the fella's feelings and "getting up in their cyber faces" muscley man #3 aka Carl. Yes, I learned something, muscley man #2 aka beach iron....that apparently everyone thinks a man aggressively breaching the personal space of a woman…
