I did a beer cleanse on Wednesday night. Didn't eat dinner. Drank a lot. Pooped a bunch in the a.m. True story.

Totally exercise won't get rid of the fat, but tightening that area does improve the appearance. I have a lower baby pooch and running makes it much better (there is still skin and fat). I have been slacking lately and it looks crummier. Some is certainly a bit more fat, but also just a bit of flaccidity.

Time and patience. You have a lovely "before" picture now. Your attitude is great. You know what to do.

You are only 25. You will change how you feel about your various roles in your life many times. Hopefully he will learn to accept these changes because allowing each other room to grow can actually be a very lovely sharing experience. This is good practice for you both. Maybe start defining yourself with a little less…

Good!

Yeah, drink a bunch of water.....and maybe put your feet up? It could be a sign of dehydration, even. (Or so I read in some random article). If the water and rest doesn't help, do see your doctor.

I wouldn't go crazy on trying to force feed yourself potassium or water. I'm a salt lover myself. I do try to drink more to pee more before a weigh day or after a bingey weekend.... But in real life, it's not fat, so who cares?

I've lost about 45; my husb has lost about 90... Our individual successes have been largely attributed to doing this together. One is usually a little more motivated than the other and it keeps us on track. Biggest piece of advice I can give to couples or individuals: Lose the "derail" mentality. A crappy meal, day,…

She will. And she probably would have let you come over if it weren't for the pressure she was getting from him. So she probably feels bad too.
-
Seriously, it wasn't that bad. Her husband's involvement exacerbated the situation, IMO, because of how you feel about each other....or the perceptions thereof. You got your feelings hurt and let her know. There are much worse things between friends. Also, asking for opinions here is dangerous. They will be honest, but not…

I thought OP was "A" probably because I could personally identify a little more with Mom "A" --- thinking "why did B even mention lice?" ...until the OP she said her husband supports her to a fault.... "A" sounds like her husband was at least 50% in charge of the "don't come here" decision. Which makes me think that if…

Agreed. My comfy red high-heeled Mary Janes definitely do this.

Awww....it will be ok. Hopefully those rotten co-workers of yours don't get Chinese food all the time. That would kill me too. Day 3 and 4 and 5 will get easier....and don't forget, the occasional Chinese food lunch will NOT ruin your progress. If you're in it for the long haul, you have to be able to live your life. This…

Why was I stupid enough to click on this thread?

Ha ha!!!!! Yes it can....also, you could give every attempt/rejection a rank and add up the points over time to make some kind of summary. It could be like your very own statistical study. Also, you could even use "if" statements somehow to really draw some really nice conclusions. You should take a class on excel. The…

Well yeah, duh! That is what we do best!

It would have been better in calendar form. Maybe alongside a pie chart.

Actually eating a single serving of teddy grahams made me gain five pounds one time. It was the processed flour that mixed together with the trans fats in the multiple trips to Golden Corral that did me in. One. Serving. Of. Teddy. Grahams. True story.

Long fun bike ride with the family. Eating sweets and chips. Not being at work.

I saw an 80 year old woman who was fit and beautiful golfing with her granddaughter. I thought "I'm not going to be able to walk when I'm 80 at this rate." So I took up running.....but didn't lose any weight....so I began working on my intake. That was a year and a half ago. I change my plan periodically and allow for…

We could start a fight.......

I hate surprises.

Cool. Thanks. He he. I find the obnoxiousness sweet. And maybe it's because I have sons that I see such glaring differences in these people who are supposed to be flesh of my flesh, but are so freaking weird! Cute and all that, but not like me. And honestly, I am already feeling sorry for their wives. (They are eleven and…

I may possibly be a dinosaur and that is ok with me. :) Eta: I really dig vintage styles and antiques, sooooooo.....

True. 100% And I should read all of your posts, but I'm too lazy, so I will just ask your opinion: would you be upset if a male person held a door for you or refrained from punching you simply because you are a female person? Also, do you have the same interactions/conversations/interactions with your female friends as…
-
Yeah but if he punches you in the face, it would probably be a lot worse than if you punched him. Obviously, that would be a horrible thing for you to do as well. You think Rhianna could have done to Chris Brown's stupid face what he did to hers? If she had a baseball bat, maybe.

Race/ethnicity is not the same as gender. There are chromosomal differences of course, but not as distinctive as xy and xx. I do understand there are different degrees of gender (as in your reference to "identifies as"). I, for one, feel like I have a lot of stereotypically masculine qualities, and I do enjoy a "one of the…

Well perhaps it is sexism to a degree if by that collegiate black and white definition. So then, I suppose in my personal opinion a small degree of sexism isn't a horrible thing. I do not have the same relationships with men as I do with other women. I just don't. It's not because I view one gender as inferior, but we are…

LOL. I knew this would turn into some huge deal. It is not sexist for a guy to treat me like a lady because I am ....wait for it....a lady ... (Ok, so maybe a lady with a sailor's mouth who can burp really loudly, but whatever.) (And by a "treat me like a lady" I mean be a little more polite to me than if I was some…
