  • Now i understand how groupthink and mob mentality begins. Jeesh. Yes, most men I deal with are just lovely. Yes, many women out there are horrible creatures. I honestly thought my post was a little funny and I thought a few men may even respond with, "yeah, not cool to get up in a woman's space"...or something like that. I…

  • Crying over your accomplishments is a beautiful thing. Well done and there are many more happy tears to be shed.
  • My brain can't even conceptualize such a thing. Hats off and best wishes!
  • Well, I did have a day two weeks ago that made mfp say that I would gain 15 over 5 weeks. Lol. Sad but true. But I'm at my lowest, so whatevs. Maybe I ate so much crap that I couldn't even store it. But....it made me feel like crap....I've been pretty good other than that and running like a friend....so I'm not advocating…
  • [/quote] Sundays are my cheat/free/eat what I want days. I still count calories but don't worry about being over. Tomorrow's breakfast: bacon, eggs and pancakes. I've only been counting calories since June of this year. Needed the days off to keep me on track. Initially my thought was to eat and not track on those days.…
  • Tomorrow I am bringing home a bag of chorizo tacos with all the fixins. Oh yeah, and krispy kreme is breakfast. It keeps me sane. It keeps the other six days not so hard. It keeps one piece of birthday cake or a few slices of pizza from turning into 30 lbs. Gotta live while I lose. :-)

  • Nah, it's normal I think. Every time I push to a new level that seems to happen to me. Sometimes I get tired and need to sleep too....Sometimes I even have a couple of days' worth of respiratory issues. Ha...fun.
  • F being ashamed. It's really useless and just sad. Welcome back. F the rest.
  • What is the furthest you have ever run at one time? My longest run so far was 7 miles. I began running in January 2013 I am planning on doing a half in April 2014. I know that doesn't seem overly ambitious, but I am a bit nervous about being able to complete it within the 3 hour time limit. Also, I'm doing the training on…
  • I too am a turtle-like runner. You have inspired me and as of last night I have 3 halfs on my radar for early next year. I'm going to sign up for one!
  • From what I understand, it takes time to firm up. I too, seem to have more (or at least different) body issues now than before. Now it is time to obsess over your imperfections less and try and focus on being thankful that you look better in clothes, feel better physically, and are undoubtedly healthier. The worst thing…
  • I'd like a smaller fatkini. The cut is adorable!

  • Shamelessly bumping My own really dumb topic So someone will add
  • Well, I am creating a whole stand-up routine dedicated to my boobs as I sit at my un-funny job this Friday. Does that count?

  • Agreed.
  • It may be not as bad as you think. How long have you had this pattern? Over time, you may see that you really are still losing. This is me: Really good m-thursday (drink TONS of water all day Thursday) Weigh-in Friday morning. (Average 1.4 loss/week...sometimes .8 sometimes 2.0...you know...) Pretty good on Friday. Pretty…
  • So---- With the lack of pictures that have been posted, I take it everyone who started as a big-legged pear-type is still battling (or just had rockin pears to begin with)? That stinks for me! I wanted to see some really lumpy befores and some really great afters....on 35+somethings...with kids....who've NEVER had trim…
  • You can do it! You may find that you can eat more than that too and still lose a bunch of weight. (Lots of people on here freak out about 1100-1200 cals being way too low). I try to stay around 1500, but I also pig out on the weekends and then drop down to about 1200 a couple of days during the week. Of course, you have to…
  • Great post. Thanks. Especially this: "It works whether you are in the mood or not, whether you believe in it or not." I needed to hear that. When I'm just not feeling it, I feel like a failure even if I'm still working it. So dumb. It's not magic. I'm not cursing my ability to lose weight by not embracing every workout or…
  • I had to look it up. I had no idea what you were talking about. But I like it. Meaningful & cool. Edited to remove "super cute" :P

  • Huge congrats! That's pretty amazing!
  • Yeah, but the rest of us would never have joined mfp at all if we weren't full of those same excuses at some point. I ate like a pig, didn't exercise, and whined about being fat. Now I'm here. We should try to remember that these excuse-filled people just aren't ready yet.
  • I do this! (And we have the same ticker thingy.) :)
  • ...And don't forget that rest days are important. Let us know how it goes!
  • Hmmmmmmm..... 2-3 lbs higher for a week... Rage... ....PMS? I bet you are retaining water, PMS or not.... I bet if you watch your sodium today and drink a ton of water, you will see a difference tomorrow. (I use that trick every Thursday to help ensure a decent weigh-in on Friday) Good luck. And don't forget that our…
  • ...Especially with the warm weather coming. You would just have to launch one freely out into the world.
  • <see, I ran an entire 5k on Feb 2. Started running on Dec 31. I didn't use the c25k program, I just ran super-duper slow. Then I went longer and longer until I could do 3.1 miles. It was freaking hard and i was pretty slow, but I did it. You certainly can add a mile in a month.
