  • I'm 28 also. Lost about 60 pounds back in 2013, and have been battling with the same 10 pounds ever since, between 160 & 170. last summer, I actually lost about 20 pounds, got down to 143, was the thinnest I have ever been, and was determined to keep going. that's when things got very real for me. I always knew I would…
  • Thanks for the replies. I do incorporate weight training, although not much. I had it in mind to start seriously lifting and working on recomposition once I was ok with my scale weight, in order to avoid the mind games that the scale plays once a serious lifting program gets started. I'm decided I'm going to start a more…
  • i have just recently started pre-logging, and its working pretty well for me. gives me a lot more wiggle room to play and adjust my macros ahead of time, instead of getting to dinner time and finding myself with zero fat or carbs left but still needing so much protein, etc..
  • Would love to be at goal!! 140! 8.8 more pounds :) :)
  • I think it cannot be overstated how important it is for someone to learn healthy eating habits, and I'm super confused why it would ever be considered a negative for a person to know how to manage their weight by eating within their calorie limit alone, without exercise?? What happens when you get set back by illness or…
  • OP - don't have anything particularly helpful to say, just kudos for handling a thread that could have totally derailed and gotten really nasty with patience and good grace. :)
  • I agree with others who have said sometimes people just don't know what to say or how to say it. Weight can be such a touchy subject that some people will steer clear of it altogether!!
  • I struggle with this as well, but what I try to do is eat less during the day, and get in a good workout before work in order to earn back some of those calories for through the night. My first night back to work I'm usually eating 200-300 more calories than I do the rest of the week. It's tough. Bored at work = hungry…
  • Awesome, thanks for the replies. Definitely was feeling pretty skeptical when she said that.. She isn't my trainer, I just joined a new gym and they have free training consults. I was looking to get a little more structure into my free weight training so I signed myself up but without getting long winded, the hour I spent…
  • I've seen a lot of women have success with stubborn belly fat once they weight train
  • I have been a little frustrated because my stretch marks which are all very old have started to become more and more apparent as I lose weight... When my fat was kind of pushing them out, they weren't as noticable but as my weight as gone down, they are sticking up more, and feel like big ol wrinkles! I was discouraged by…
  • Thanks Scott!
  • i just don't feel like it!
  • I've gotten a lot of these... So many people want to know how much weight i've lost, how i'm doing it, etc... I think asking how much weight I have lost is such a personal question!! And all these random people I've seen but never had a conversation with before coming up to me and wanting to talk about it... NO WAY!! A…
  • No loss this week, but I'm trying to get back on track after a less than spectacular early April. I'm gonna own this next week!
  • A little late, but here's what I've got... height 5'8" weight 166 age 25 waist 42 hips 39 bmi 25.3
  • Hi, I'm Christie and I'm 25. I have lost 55 pounds since September. However things have slowed down considerably since mid-February. I decided I needed to change things up and joined MFP. I finally started to see results again in April but this week I am having a terrible time getting and staying motivated. I have 20 lbs…
