I LOVE that you are feeling good where you are! You should - you look great, and it is wonderful to see you appreciate it. Heck, I feel SO much healthier in the last 7 weeks with 12 workouts/week, 90% clean eating and all my fruits and veges. I feel great - and then I'm stunned when I look in the mirror and realize I'm…

Way to go and look at the positive! I hope the vacation relaxation sticks with you for awhile.

Congratulations!

What a change, you look great! I'm also trying to (in addition to working out) be a bit more active in my daily life as much as I can given that my job is to sit at a desk... but it is nice to see that those little bits of increased activity throughout the day can make a difference!

Decided I wanted to work out to music so put on my iphone armband. Last time - few weeks ago - I had to really push it to get over my elbow. This time, when I went to push it up, it went flying to my shoulder! Turns out I don't need the little extender that came with it anymore. I've only lost 14 lbs and have a long way to…

Great job logging it! I'm also trying to be completely honest and log everything - on Saturday I had 3500 calories and didn't work out. On monday I had lost 4 pounds - go figure?

FANTASTIC you are inspiring! Have fun with new baby.

Really great job! I think something we all need to do is be proud of where we are, and proud that we got there and/are maintaining wherever that is - even if it is a long ways from where we'd like to be. I'm down 14 but 75 or so to go. Today I found myself focusing on the 75 and reminded myself that I should focus on the…

WOW! That is so inspirational. I think you look FANTASTIC and I'm so glad you are proud of yourself. Way to go.

WAY TO GO!!! Just remember, for all of us - 10 pounds to lose or 200 to lose - it is a lifelong journey to be healthy. I finally feel like I've taken that lifelong step and am trying very hard to have patience to be able to see results. My friends can see, I don't really, but I'm just having faith that eating healthily and…

Really fantastic and impressive. You look happy and great. Keep it up!

Please put me on waiting list as well - I will take any house but Ravenclaw would be fun.

Great job!

I think today I'm grateful for paddleboarding and kind people. I took my kids and one of their friends to the river where an outdoor group brings paddleboards for people to try for $5. The kids had a blast, I had fun watching them. Then the instructor convinced me (83 lbs overweight but actually in decent shape) to try. I…

Wow! So cool! You look so strong and fit! Nice to know that can happen - nearly exactly my same starting/goal weight.
-
Great job! I can totally see a difference! Nice to know what I can look forward to.

Patience. It is so hard to be patient. It's been 4 weeks. I've been working out long and hard, and cut most sweets out. I've lost 7 pounds. That's great, right? But I feel strong and healthy and I'm stunned when I look in the mirror and I'm still fat (because I have 83 more to lose). The funny thing is lots of people post…

Hey, I think another way to think about it is that YOU LOST A POUND! Things are going in the right direction! You feel better, you are more fit and strong. I just started 4 weeks ago and lost 7 pounds so far (a record for me in the last decade of going the other direction). I can tell you what has been working for me at…

Great attitude - keep it up! And thanks for sharing that you're not perfect. I ate ice cream today, but exercised a lot and have been way under lots of days in a row so I let myself enjoy it!
-
I had decided to take the day off - having exercised for over a week in a row, but around 5pm I decided I felt gross from not exercising so I worked out hard! And then after that all I wanted to eat for fourth of July dinner was fruit salad! Very cool.
-
You look great and healthy and happy! Way to go!

I'm still new - 25 days logged in a row - but what really was great for me this week was that I didn't even think about food really, I just ate healthily and came in well under my goal most days. It sure would be nice if this lasted! I think that cutting out sweets and processed food has made an enormous difference in my…

So for the first time I believe that sugar/processed carbs are truly addictive. Not only have I really cut down the sugar, but also the very high glycemic foods. And for the first time I'm not actually very hungry and I don't have cravings. I don't know how long it will last - its been about a week of this - but I'm…

Hi, my name is Clarissa. I'm an almost 42 mother to two boys ages 10 and 13. I was skinny when I started my faculty position a decade ago. I now need to lose 100 lbs! I'm motivated for many reasons: (1) I used to be able to do so much - we climbed mountains on the west coast (Adams, Hood, Ranier), I did a triathlon, a half…

Great thread. I'm three weeks in and finding that it is HARD to lose weight in your 40's. It took me 10 years to gain 100 lbs, so why I expect to lose it instantly I don't know. I'm struggling with what you are saying - I'm trying to just eat very healthily, around 1600 calories net, exercise a lot, and let go of weight…

THANK YOU! It is great that you posted this, I feel like every time I lose 5 pounds it has taken so much effort that by the time I lose it I've given up and gain it back again. This time I'm trying to make whole life changes - even though I've tracked every bite and exercised hard about 6 hours/week for an average net of…

PLEASE ADD ME - ugh. Every time i try to lose weight I seem to gain it. Hoping that friends can help - especially those just starting - I've gained 3 since joining here - but just getting going is great. I exercise a lot but eat WAY too much. Trying to eat more fruits and veges and try yoga as a way to stop eating too…

I completely hear what you are saying BUT I still think you ought to give yourself some credit for the 25 pounds that you have kept off - that is really fantastic that you didn't go all the way back up!
