So happy to see this thread. Often wondered if I am sensitive to gluten because of issues. I know I have to stay away from dairy. Guess I will be researching this and figuring out a new way of eating

It is really gratifying to be with such a supportive, positive group of people. Thank you for the warm welcome :)

Thank you from one apparent doggie lover to another.

Am I missing something? Your profile shows you have 67 friends. I have 16 and am very happy with quality rather than quantity. But as a senior citizen who is not all that versed in computers maybe those friends are not an accurate depiction of your status. Just reach out to some individuals and I'm sure that folks will be…

Dear Friends, just as an FYI. You can look on my profile page and see if you're still there. It is heartwarming to know that you care . And Southerngramm I am proud to call you my friend.

Thank you Sarah, You've been a friend to me also:smile:

Caligirl, you're the first one I looked for when I came back.:flowerforyou:

Hi Sarah, I left you a message about this yesterday on your profile. As part of the grieving process some people get very angry and unapproachable. They are actually angry at the person who passed for leaving them. This is what happened to me and it may be what is happening to your daughter-in-law. Everyone grieves in…

I can't tell you how many times I blew it here. There were days when I didn't post because all I did was eat pizza all day. And last month for my birthday my friends brought over 11 pints of different kinds of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. And yes I ate all of them in one week. This is a process and it takes awhile to adjust.…

I gave up a pack a day + habit on 1/1/1994 and gave myself permission to eat. Promptly gained 75 pounds. 19 years later I'm still carrying those pounds but I never went back to the smoking and I am very glad. I'm now 66 and focusing on getting healthy. We have a wonderful support group here of over 60 so please feel free…

My Dudley a pug/boston terrier mix barks frantically whenever someone is walking by my home. But amazingly for the past 10 years he sleeps solidly thru the night. Except for one night 2 years ago. This is not funny. This is true. He saved my life. He woke me out of a sound sleep at 3am going nuts by the front door. My…

Ok I did this wrong. Was trying to show "Love my job" in quotes but obviously have not figured it out yet.:embarassed:

Really August???? Back to school, Fall décor in the stores, time to decorate for Halloween. Better not get sidetracked. This is usually the warmest month of the year. But so far Illinois has had a mild summer with just a few hot days. I'm not complaining, I love this weather. So WELCOME TO AUGUST everyone:bigsmile: I'm…

Please check with your doctor first. A hernia is a hole in your muscle and you don't want to do anything to strangulate it. I've had 4 hernia repairs and now have 3 layers of mesh. When I told my doctor that I was going to do sit ups he told me to not do exercises involving lower abdominals. But each case is different so…

I am so sorry about your dog. I know this hurts a lot. Last month my 10 year old pug/boston terrier mix was diagnosed with mast cell cancer. He had surgery and both tumors were removed from his skin. It's grade 2. Because the chemo for this type of cancer is very inexpensive I am going thru with it but I see how it has…

If your company has a separate HR dept. that's where I would go. Keep documenting. Wonder who the co-worker knows?

Slow and steady does it when it comes to back pain. I've lived with it for over 10 years. Wish you a speedy recovery:smile:
