Sometimes I eat a large hard boiled egg and a handful of grapes as a snack. Often for a little protein punch I'll grab a couple of slices of roasted turkey (30 cal per slice) and roll them up either plain or with a green onion in the middle or with a Velveeta slice (40 cals) divided in half and split between two wraps with…

Buying fresh produce and perishables in the hopes that you can make them last for two weeks is setting yourself up for failure. Most vegetables will perish in a week or less in the fridge. Buy a mix of fresh and frozen veggies. Frozen foods will not spoil, thus saving you money and you can use only the portion size that…

First, I want to congratulate you on hitting that 101 milestone. That freaking ROCKS! I don't know you, but I AM proud of you because I know what kind of work and dedication it takes to achieve that. You should hold your head high, shake your fist at the world and let them know that YOU are kicking *kitten* and taking…

My coffee cup holds prolly 20 oz. and the top 3/4 cup of liquid is 2% milk. To sweeten I use sweet and low, because it's my personal preference. I don't have a fancy milk frother or anything but…

I have been losing weight at a steady 2lbs a week since February. and began taking Benedryl for allergies at night before bed. Over the last two weeks my weight loss has come to a complete stand still with the last week a firm plateau. After doing some thinking about what I had changed, this was the ONLY thing. I am doing…

Hi Jen, My son and I bought some Six Star Whey Protein at Walgreens and tried it for breakfast for a week. For the amount of calories that it has, the lack of fulfilment and cost we decided it wasn't worth the trouble. We found that we were starving and reverted to what's been working for us for breakfast. We have been…

I think I would slit my own throat. Sorry... I am in the camp of "It's just another fad that will make a few companies really really rich" Unless there is some medical reason for going gluten free, I cannot see the sense in it Do your homework, read, read, read about it before jumping on the bandwagon. Here's a starter for…

My son's birthday is coming up next week, and he has hinted that he would like cheesecake. We have booth been dieting and doing pretty well, he's preparing for enlistment in the Army and has lost 30 lbs so far. I don't want to derail our efforts with something that's a whole day's calories in one serving but I don't want…
