I was directly asked why I had no desire to look like the woman in the picture.

The response I gave was to that.

My goals do not include a defined six pack, or to compete in the area of fitness.

Changing my shape, my weight, my health, does not negate that I still plan on retaining a level of softness and roundness, which are two adjectives I personally use to describe how I felt at my "fittest".

You were responding to something that I had written, and you said that you preferred to be soft and round. No one was telling you that you had to look like the fitness model. That was in your own head. And your profile states that you want to have the best body that you can and, if memory serves, to have a bangin' body.

And I do not believe that the copy and pasting of your profile was a personal attack so much as showing the hypocracy of what you had said.

And if my idea of a bangin' body and the best body I can have still retains me considering myself soft and round then how am I contradicting myself? No my response had not been to a post by you.

    What is a troll?

"a mythical, cave-dwelling being depicted in folklore as either a giant or a dwarf, typically having a very ugly appearance."

Meh, I could go back into my post history and get it all verbatim, but I suspect you would report me for attacking you. Plus I am kinda sleepy.

Well, all your saying is my goals contradict themselves, but then you don't really know what my goals are, because it is just adjectives like "soft, round, best, bangin'" which for me all equal the same image of myself I want to attain. It would be one thing if I said "I don't want to lose weight or get more fit" but that is not the case. I simply stated that I did not want to look like the image in question. My goals were different. And included retaining softness and roundness. You're projecting your ideas of what those words mean onto me.

    Also, this. ^

It's been said time and time again that if you want unconditional support and hand-holding, seek out like minded individuals, send them a FR and post everything on your wall.

Public forums are not the place to expect rainbows and sunshine 100% of the time.

But, I digress. IN to see how this turns out.

That is exactly what I mean. Because I had a difference of opinion, I was personally attacked. I'm ok with my opinion being attacked. Debate is the point of a forum. I just believe that copying and pasting my entire profile just to mock me was a personal attack that was unnecessary to the conversation that was happening. I just stopped responding because I realized then that it was a no-win situation. Profile is now private. Lesson learned.

Forum trolls should be ashamed of themselves. Obviously that statement means nothing to a troll that’s reading this as trolls do not possess enough intelligence to know the difference between the wrong and right things to say.

It takes a great amount of courage to open up and express one’s self in what is supposed to be a forum for like-minded individuals to voice their ups, downs, highs and lows. I give kudos and a round of applause to those courageous folks in these forums that openly discuss issues that several others can relate to and I say “BOO, get off the stage!!” to those forum trolls that lug around negativity, spilling foul droppings in as many posts as they possibly can; they are just wretched, miserable imps who find perverse joy in bringing others down.

I see these great, open, honest posts from people that are using MFP for the right reasons and it makes me sick when, amidst the positive, helpful replies, there’s a nasty, negative, dropping of a reply from some impish forum troll; BOO to those losers! They'll get back what they give out (point, blank, period).

And to those courageous ones that are on here, making it happen and getting healthy - keep on ROCKING and stay strong so you can steamroll over the inconsequential, nasty little negative bumps in the road; don’t let their misery derail you.

    ~Peace, Joy & Good Health

    I agree with you.
Don't let the nasty little *kitten* get to you.

Someone on here once told me that I am a troll because I'm here for fitness and not weight loss. She said that makes me an mfp version of a troll. Like I work on fitness and don't need to lose weight just to make people mad.
