Pick up heavy weights. Put them back down. Repeat! :)

BJJ for life.

If its been happening more regularly, I'd say just acknowledge it happened and pick it up the next day. Accept that you went over, that it may contribute to slower loss/maintenance for the week/month whatever and just pick it up tomorrow.

I stopped counting calories at -30 lbs for the most part. I only count if it's something I'm genuinely curious about to get an idea of a good portion size and how much energy I might need. I will likely resume counting as I get closer to my goal weight and out of obesity classification.

Don't forget backwards bear crawls and crab walks, too!

I lost 3-4 lbs per week after a plateau for a total of 25 lbs. Then it slowed again of course when I put bread and pasta back into my life.. back into a plateau and now into loss again (too soon to calculate rate). I have over 80 more to lose though so I'm thinking recomping might be the best idea for me?

Right now I'm doing a 'paleo' thing called Whole30 - I'm genuinely interested in how certain foods make me feel, and the restrictive psychological component is a nice reset button for me. I have very, very poor impulse control with chips and sweets lately so when my game isn't working I change the game - temporarily. So…

I log most of them if I can. Even if I dont have a calorie value it makes me conscious of it.

I had no idea this was a thing. I didn't see it at the McDonalds in Queens but maybe I missed it. I want to consume this.

Well the first one is joking, it says "inb4" which means "In before" someone says that. ;) That being said, I gave up McDonalds and all fast food for a long time - not because I feared 'toxins' but because it was a binge eating trigger that I had to address. It has been over a year, and I started eating McDonalds again.…

If you're about to make a really unwise decision by buying into such things, then we are supporting you by giving a negative opinion - so you don't do it.

Only thing I've cut out is any place with a drive-thru. Except for dunkin donuts. I like drive-thru coffee.

Squat 135 for reps Deadlift 150 before my grip strength gives out Bench is around 90-100, super awful. Just started lifting for 'real' because I can go to the gym with my buddy. I haven't tried my 1-2 rep maximums yet or anything but it sure helps with the jiu jitsu.

+1 for a grocery store rotisserie chicken too. I also like to get Chinese. The place near me has a great steamed triple crown with sauce on the side. It's chicken, beef, shrimp, mixed veggies w/ broccoli and rice. That + 2 tbsp of the brown sauce + 1 cup of rice + sriracha. It's lovely, hot, filling and I can usually…

Hmm... I usually try to eat a hearty breakfast (protein and fats maybe a little carb action if I have it) and drink some black coffee. Today I had an omelette with 2 eggs, 1 white, spinach, tomatoes, garlic and an ounce of white cheddar and I'm about to french press my coffee. I'm an artist and once I've had my coffee I…
