You can do it! I'm going to shoot for an even 15 lbs by Halloween now!
-
I like Christmas as an end date!

Hey, I had my thyroid removed several years ago, then my gall bladder -- apparently my organs are also 'optional'! Just letting you know I feel AMAZING now! I take a little synthroid pill every day and you'd never know I had the surgery. Although you will feel a little like Frankenstein the first couple weeks, the neck has…

These look awesome.. will try soon.

No, and I probably wouldn't put myself into such an environment.. if they won't respect your choices, how are you supposed to be authentic friends?
-
Yeah, I read that before but it's still not conclusive in terms of knowing for sure. I probably am at this point adapted because of how strict I've been and I feel fine now. I had a mini stall and attributed to malitol usage but it may be just part of the normal ups/downs.
-
I'm in the middle of a stall myself after 3.5 weeks of losses. I'm trying on clothing that suddenly fits me that didn't before to remind me that it really is working even if I can't see it on the scale today.

cocoa 'nibs' are a good way to add crunch without sugar!
-
I also like liquid Spenda... no added carbs. Liquid Sugar Twin tastes pretty gross, in my opinion.

You might be a keto dieter if you are researching or have purchased a meter to test your blood and you're not diabetic.
-
You might be a keto dieter if you waste bucket is littered with little sticks with purple tips! Or your dog follows you everywhere because she knows you're the most likely person in the house to drop a meat scrap.
-
As I wrote on my timeline yesterday... ... You might be a keto dieter if you attend church and you ask your husband to drink the grape juice at communion you your behalf!

I don't count fiber or sugar alcohol carbs but I do keep my daily calories in check. I exercise, stay really close to my macro grams/day for all categories and I'm losing at a good clip.
-
My daughter is 4 and she does not do low-carb. However, I don't let her take in the amount of sugar and carbs I was offered in my childhood. He rarely gets anything but home cooked meals, no food dyes, rarely juice, and treats are usually homemade for her so at least I know what is going in. Tonight she had some of the…

Probably the best thing to do!

Black bean sauce isn't too bad. Teriyaki is high in sugar. Plain soy is good. It's really difficult because a lot of the Chinese restaurants use a ton of starch in their sauces. You really need to talk to someone there that understands and tell them no sugar, lots of oil is ok, no starch. Good luck!
-
I feel the same way... what's the point if you stay keto adapted? I think it might be useful if you're trying to up your carbs and you have some concern but I peed on a stick, it went purple.. good for me. LOL

Getting unwanted attention from men. Some are delighted by all the attention when they are looking super hot and I can't say it isn't an ego boost once and awhile but I felt a little uncomfortable in my own skin when I started to notice more stares etc. It's probably one subconscious reasons I self-sabotage when I hit a…

I started off just counting calories (1200 or so) and weight was not coming barely at all, even in the first 2 weeks. So I changed based on some research I was doing. So now I do count calories (1600) but have specific macros I'm trying to hit doing a ketogenic diet. 20 gm carb, 80 gm protein, 116g fat. (specific to my…

I pretty much do the same thing. I have a Fitbit Aria scale and use weightgrapher.com. Slick technology seems to motivate me more rather than a membership to weight watchers!
-
Today I signed up for a gym membership myself. I was thinking the exact same thing... what am I going to do first, how often, etc? My main goal is actually to implement weight training because I already have a dog that I walk extensively now. I went home and asked Google what to do and stumbled on aworkoutroutine.com ...…

Yummy yummy... mojitos actually gave me an idea... What about mixing whipping cream with mint leaves, some lime juice, liquid spenda, ice/water for drink consistency.
-
That's awesome!! I'm even more inspired today to tie up my running shoes!!
-
Thanks.. I will eat up over my macros on those days I feel I need to.
-
Not sure about this or anything, but i wonder if it has to do with dehydration due to increased water from the glycogen storage (kicked out of ketosis and needing water badly).

Since I seem to be participating in this conversation largely, I must bid you adieu... would love to chat more but need to drive the car pool in the morning. If I can find time, I'll return but this lady does have a life off screen. At the very least, if this conversation peaks your interest, watch the documentary link I…

Ok smartypants, what has caused the increase in obesity rates then? Offer a reason so we can take your interjection seriously.

A food like product is manufactured food... if you are eating chemicals, preservatives disguised to look like a nutritious food, it's not food, it's a product. Apple is a food, artificial apple flavoring is not. Never seen a candy-free aisle in Canada or the states.

Yes, exactly, because they know the notion of self-control when it comes to addictive substances is a farce. When you treat a heroin addict, you advise them to change their friends, the places they will get triggers -- basically their environment, because it is so overwhelmingly a predictor to their behaviour. It's not…

I believe the industry knows clearly how addictive sugar is. They do plenty of research on the "bliss point" of food production. They act like tobacco companies and that's one of the main points of these types of documentaries. We need to keep on top of this type of behaviour when our health is at stake!
