Hi! My name is Marissa and I know I'm a day late -oops! My 3 goals are: Work out 6 days a week Work my way through the 10k running program Log everything I eat!

Get it in your mind that it is non negotiable. Like going to work. There are days when you could easily stay home but you go because it is a priority. Put exercise on the same level. Good luck!

I weigh daily just for statistical purposes. If I have a good loss, yay! If I gained, shrug and see if there's a pattern and move on!

I either gain a couple pounds or my weight doesn't budge at all. Usually a few days later my weight drops again. I don't stress about it. I do get really hungry but I try to keep it in check.

I've found that it can help me drop a few pounds. But I only do it for 1-2 days. I could see it helping you not get burnt out but it can definitely become a slippery slope.

Cupcakes and lately, Hershey Kisses. Kisses I can regulate but keep cupcakes away!

Lower carb, limiting dairy and soy, and exercising daily helps me lose. I recently fell in love with running. It helps stabilize my moods too.

Whenever I'm in Houston I feel like I can live at Memorial Park. I would love to have trails like that in Louisiana!

I hit 10k on most days. I live in Louisiana so I understand the heat struggle! I'm doing C25K and I'm in week 7. I can usually hit about 5k by the end of my run, then just make up the rest throughout the day. I run at about 6 am before it gets insanely hot, then occasionally go walking around 6pm with friends when it…

I love my Fitbit Flex! And I ordered a bunch of bands on amazon for like $15, so I can change it around. Their customer service is superb too!

You can call your relative and see if they would like you to bring a dish, and bring something that you can eat, while still having smaller portions of the pasta!

My dentist also suggested baby food when I had my wisdom teeth taken out

Sauerkraut, pork, hot dogs, and kielbasa here, with mashed potatoes. I originate from northwestern PA and that's our traditional New Year's dinner!

My doctor decided to not prescribe me Metformin and instead, put me on a birth control pill that would even out my hormones and told me to do the low carb high protein diet everyone is talking about AND told me to exercise at least 30 min/day, and I lost over 30 pounds and got pregnant. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage…

I'm a Louisiana transplant! I'm originally from PA but I've been living in Lafayette for about 5 years! Feel free to add me!!!

I know exactly what you're going through! I actually got pregnant at the end of May after I got off BC after being told I would never be able to get pregnant. My husband and I almost spilt up after that. Unfortunately, I lost the baby at 8 weeks, and it's been the hardest thing I've ever been through. So now I'm focusing…

Those are pretty good results!! I agree with everyone else about carbs. I try to mostly get carbs just from fruits and vegetables, and try and stay away from breads and pastas. It took a long time to get used to but now for the most part it's natural. The only medication I was put on was birth control. It helped control my…
