  • To me meat is meat As long as it's raised, transported and killed humanely I will not put more value on one animal or bird over another Problem is that many of the intensive farming and haulage practices are not particularly humane - hence why I'd rather raise my meat myself or shoot wild game I'd even eat my own horse/pet…
  • Simply because I've added running into my morning routine in the last month and everything I seem to see online states that you should have a snack before morning exersise But I'm happy now that I can just continue with what is obviously working fine for me - sometimes you just need a little support/reassurance
  • horse meat is nice we eat a lot of pheasant and rabbit - plus the odd hare and venison (all wild - kill it cook it eat it ;)) I also love meatier sea food like squid and octapus - plus I like kid but you cant really get it here - thinking of raising a few though for the table
  • i use endomondo on my galaxy S3 for running - love looking back at my progress :) also just bought the pro version to help with interval training
  • the catch is chemicals but if that doesn't concern you (and I'm offering no opinion here as to if it should or not - I'm not your mother ;)) then enjoy :)
  • I like it as it is but for breakfast - whilst my porridge is cooking - i eat a pot with 1 banana choped up, a few blackberries, a few raspberries and 1.5tbs of micronised linseed - all mixed up - yummy!
  • not to that one - but plan the one local to me in 2014 doing a few 10k obstical courses before then - got my first one on 20th Oct in Edinburgh - figured I'd be better working up to a tough mudder than going straight in - esp as i'm pretty new to running
  • go for it - If you need to walk for a bit then so be it - just make sure you keep moving and dont stop you may find that the energy from those around you carry you forward anyway - dont underestimate the power of that/adrenaline Good Luck :D# ETA - did you get proper gait analysis for your running shoes/get a professional…
  • dont worry I eat plenty :D I'm on maintainence not weight loss ;o)
  • thanks guys Think i'll just keep going as I am as it seems to work for me :) I also have to be careful when I eat before an evening metafit and rebound classes - I can't eat within 4 hours of the class or I get stitch/feel sick - but can easily eat afterwards ;) I just tend to find I have the most energy when I am hungry -…
  • thanks from replies :) I do eat a big breakfast: 1/2 cup oats and 180ml semi skimmed milk made up as porridge plus 1 pot greek yoghurt, 1 banana, berries (usually blackberries and raspberries) and 1.5 table spoons of Linseed all mixed up so two bowls of food - plus green tea (and lots of water) its just that I like to eat…
  • what motivates me is the feeling afterward a work out - at the time I can't say i especially enjoy it - I just work through it and push myself harder so its not enjoyable - its hard work and can hurt! but afterwards I feel great :D I also find pinterest good - especially the motivational quotes - they keep me going ;) I…
  • I was adicted to refined sugars - to the point I'd hypo and faint - even had tests to diabetes but was luckily negative - I'm just highly reactive to it so.... cutting it out sucks - you'll feel crap - shakey, faint, weak, crave it all the time, you'll hate your 'diet' and will think of sugary things all the time Deal with…
  • This is what worked for me: 1. Move more 2. Drink more water 3. Eat at a calorie level thats suitable for your activity etc - and not where you will be starving yourself/slowing your metabolism 4. Cut out crap from your diet even if you can fit it into your calorie allowance - including alcohol, 'diet' anything, refined…

  • Thank you :) they say horses don't lose any fitness in two weeks - so it's interesting that humans lose quicker - I do have someone riding her though as I have Scottish xc championships a week after I'm back so want us both on top form for that :) I wake early anyway - and husband likes a lie in whereas i get bored lol -…

  • Thanks for concerns guys I am seeing my doc for my depo soon so will discuss with her and double check I'm doing ok :)
  • Thanks guys I actually put a similar thread in the fitness section and they said the same thing I feel full of energy and healthier than I have for years so I'm not going to worry and going to carry on as I am maintaining my healthy weight It was just a shock to get such a telling off from a pt!
  • none - but when you get a slating/lecture from a 'professional' you do tend to panic a bit!
  • we so need a 'like' button on this forum ;)
  • she did it to me straight after a 1hr rebound session (35mins intense cardio - 10min warming up/cooling down - 15mins abs/derrier work) I'd also just drank 1L of water at the end of the session
  • thanks guys - I'm going to go with you (and what was my gut instinct) and just carry on as I am I feel better than I have for years - with more energy than I have for years - so I can't see that I am unhealthy :)
  • thanks guys I felt awful when she had a go at me - I'm in training for a 6m assault course at the end of oct and she basically said that I was too skinny to get fitter and was talking about needing to put weight on - this is me 3 weeks ago today at a photo shoot and at the same weight I am now - I'm hardly an anorexic…

  • thank you - i dont know about periods as on depo (didnt make me weight gain ;)) and have not had one since starting it (9 months ago before my weight loss)
  • it was a PT who tested me and basically had a right old rant at me stating that it was very unhealthy and I should be at least 18%... So I was wondering other peoples opinions... and tbh after being over weight for so long - and now maintaining a good weight for 2 months - I was not liking the idea of having to put some…
