I completely agree. He says your weak, well you gotta start somewhere. I started lifting with free weights using the Stronglifts program. It starts with the empty bar and goes up from there. give it a go, and maybe ask some of the others using free weight s for advice or help. Don't give up :)

I do not lift to failure. I do stronglifts 5x5, 3x a week, and continue to increase weight, strength, and size . I used to lift to failure, but it was too much of a drain everyday mentally.

I see your butt going out, before your knees bend. (all the weight is on lower back) my experience is ... that puts more strain on the lower back. Try to go down straight line.. knee,s butt, and back. the pain should stop.

47 years here. harder to lose the weight, but heavy lifting really helps. The motivation of friends here helps also.

Heavy lifting has helped me get firmer, stronger, and drop weight and inches. I personally use the Stronglifts 5x5 workout. 45 minutes in the gym 3x a week that's all. IT DOES WORK..

I squat without a rack, but one day my lower back let go and that was it. luckily it was just a pulled muscle, and I was able to stand up, but if it was something worse It would have crumbled me. I am currently holding my squats at a manageable weight until I have a rack. SAFETY is most important.

StrongLifts 5x5 for women is a good beginner program, for weight lifting, and you will get toned.

I use StrongLifts, and I get the daily email from Mehdi. some of the information is useful. I also get invited to join his "inner Circle" at the end of the email, but I don't have to join anything. The program, and videos are FREE.

I used to hurt terribly when I first started lifting. Now I'm just a little stiff and sore the next day. Lets me know I did a good job.

Yep, she could be cheating, but worrying over it isn't going to make it stop, or even make you feel better. Just get to the Gym... it will do you good.

I have found the StrongLifts5x5 program is a good way begin to lift heavy as a beginner. it's 3 days a week, so it's easy to commit to, and only takes about an hour to complete the whole routine. No need to spend hours in the gym. which ever you choose...GOOD LUCK..
