Stronglifts 5x5.

I use the stronglifts 5x5 program, it basically starts with an empty bar, and you go up from there. It's a great way to begin lifting weights.

Are you still at it? What are your numbers looking like now?

I have been back on the program for about two weeks now. Dropped back down to empty bar and working my way back up, after being off quite a while due to back injury.

looks like everyone is doing great. Failure is part of the process. just keep pushing. if you ever watch any of Mehdi's videos... he has several failures also.

I really like the StrongLifts 5x5 program. After being off and on the program (due to sporadic.. work schedule) for about a year. my current numbers are: squat 135# Bench 145# OHP 110# Rows 135# Deadlifts 225#

the Play it again sports store near me doesn't have any power racks. (oh, they could order me one new) so I'm building my own from lumber and 1 inch pipe. I found plans online.

Stronglifts has another program after you advance on from the 5x5 program. Just check the website for it.

I've been on and off SL 5x5 for about a year (why so erratic??) work schedule changes, and injury. however I love the program, and have gained size and strength.

StrongLifts is the program I use. When I was injured, (lower back) I lowered the weight on the bar. maybe you could just use empty bar or do squats without a bar.

I use creatine pre & post workout. teaspoon prior and teaspoon after. Drink plenty of water regardless. I drink 1 US Gallon per day.
