I like IsoPure Zero Carb dutch chocolate protein powder mixed with unsweetened almond milk. I think One bars are the best tasting but honestly I'd rather not eat them because they still don't taste GOOD.

I was pretty happy and a size 6 in department store clothes at 155. At 150 my doctor said too thin. I am also large framed and was heavy lifting, I was in GOOD shape. Sigh.

Josephs' Lavash bread is big, full of nutrients, and low cal. I use them for sandwich wraps and for the base for pizza.

That happened to me until I disabled negative adjustments. But, then I saw on the MFP Fitbit boards that you shouldn't disable that - so I hope someone else can chime in on this!

If it says you have X left for the day you should be able to eat them all. Your goal is 1300 plus activity calories. But you don't have to eat the activity calories if you don't want to. I get well over 10,000 steps daily with my Fitbit One - My calorie goal is 1500 and I get another 700 exercise calories (I weigh a LOT).…

Low carb (per my doc, severe PCOS and insulin resistance) is easier for ME to create a calorie deficit while feeling full and not deprived. However, whatever you do should be sustainable long term, which is difficult for some people with low carb.

Fantastic!!!

I often make fajitas and stir frys for dinner, and make extra for left overs for lunch. I prefer a hot lunch. I also love Joseph's lavash bread (1/2 which is huge, is 7 g carbs, 3 fiber) filled with veggies, lunch meats, and cheeses, or sometimes I will use it as a base for pizza with a little bit of no sugar added tomato…

I've been 22 days without Diet Coke and it was SO HARD at first. I was probably drinking a 2 liter a day, it was definitely driving my appetite up - it was hard at first because certain foods NEED soda - it's just weird and wrong to drink them with anything but. But, it's much easier now. Unsweet tea is my go-to. I get a…

Wow, amazing!!!

I agree with this - I've overeaten and been way over my goal, I had a small binge the other evening and I still managed to end up UNDER my calorie goal (I was active ALL day, and didn't get to eat much until dinner) - but I was still stuffing my face with 2 donuts, jellybeans and 2 bowls of cereal (after 2 sensible slices…

Unless you swim or spin a lot, I would get the BodyMedia armband. Fitbit is ok, but it has it's limitations. I had the BodyMedia for five years and loved it. I like the Fitbit, just don't love it.

Fantastic!

Congrats to you!

I can't see your most recent pics where there's three in a row, but the bottom ones with your face, wow, great job!!! You look fantastic!

http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/chicken_recipes.html I've made quite a few from here. I generally agree with her reviews about them, which are posted below the recipes.

I was the same way - and found out I have PCOS. Low carb does work for me (when I follow it, but I'm SOOOO bad at being consistent) but I'm glad I was diagnosed so now I know WHY regular calorie counting and everything in moderation didnt' :)

Right now, if I was on MY health insurance plan (I'm not, I went part time) my family health insurance plan would cost $25K a year (the company share), and I would contribute around $2000 a year. On my husbands insurance, our share of the family plan is 12K a year, and they've already WARNED/PROMISED it is going to go up…

I have PCOS. My endo last week (after reviewing my 2 year struggle) suggested WLS as the best way to control the hormones driving the PCOS (and in my case, the pre-diabetes). I have NOTHING against WLS but as a mom of three, I'm very hesitant to do major surgery - I'm on a last ditch, 6 month effort to stick to a low carb…

I would have some protein with my veggie bag.

My weight gain that triggered my PCOS happened during my first pregnancy (was a normal weight before and had been for 6 years - normal weight was achieved by eating low carb (back when it was popular) and exercising 1 hour a day). Had no trouble concieveing my first, or my second, less than 5 months later (both boys). BUT,…

Low carb is the best way I've found to lose weight. Low carb combined with metformin really helps with the cravings and wiith helping me feel in good mental health daily. It's just so hard to follow, and I fell off the bandwagon. Again. Trying to get back on.

WOW!!!!!! You look AWESOME!
-
You can add me. I want to lose a total of 120.

You look fantastic!

I have PCOS and IR. When eating a low carb diet consistently, I sometimes struggle with getting to 1200 if I'm eating mostly lean meat (weight 270, h - 5'6) because I am just NEVER hungry. When not eating low carb, I can eat 3000 - 4000 cals a day and never ever feel remotely satisfied. I aim for 1800 a day, though - not…

That has happened to me even walking - I think I had my shoes too tightly laced. Hurts for about a week terribly, all bruised on the top of the foot, then goes away. I've never stopped exercising because of it, just laced my shoes more lightly and kept trucking.

Metformin XR 1500 mg at night, very little stomach troubles with the XR version and taking it at night. I hit a wall with the weight loss and it's frustrating with having PCOS, cause I can gain 10 pounds in a week, but it takes two months to LOSE that 10 pounds. Oh well, I just keep keeping on...

I try to keep under 50 g a day, but I don't limit my fats (though I try to make them better fats, lots of nuts/avocado). Feel free to add me.

Me. Under 50g a day. Was told to eat this was by my endocrinologist, and it is the way I feel best (most energetic and in control of my eating, not tired and craving ALL.THE.TIME. Works for me :)
