What's wrong with fat? Fat is delicious and filling stuff.

Eat a bit more, do a bit less cardio. Lift weights. ;^) Oh, and more protein, less carbs.
-
Hope this post is a joke.

I was stuck for a couple of months. Got a fitbit and started tracking my steps and figuring out I did need to eat a bit more. ;^) You need to track your real TDEE and decide what percentage less you want to eat, and the scale starts moving again. Oh, and -- lift weights! It helps.

Anything that restricts your diet in some way will most likely restrict your calories as well. Much better to simply be aware of what you're eating and not rely on gimmicks or "tricking" your metabolism.
-
Have tried it and it does improve endurance a little, but I don't really think it's necessary or worth it. Just eat some protein.
-
Need? No. You can get all the protein you need from food. That said, they are useful if you want a quick protein boost and aren't harmful.

No. This has been simple answers to supplement questions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambooge A 1998 randomized controlled trial looked at the effects of hydroxycitric acid, the purported active ingredient in gambooge, as a potential antiobesity agent in 135 people. The conclusion from this trial was that "Garcinia…

I think MFP encourages healthy and fit, and if that means gaining weight, I do know some who are on here to gain, too.

143 and 5'5" and pretty happy. About 23% body fat currently. Would like to get down to 135 but it's slow going right now. Been plateaued since early April. I would also have to add that if you do some lifting, you'll be happier with how you look. More lean muscle mass and tone looks better no matter what your weight. I…

As long as you're clear about it when you ask someone out, does it matter?

See your doctor, get thyroid checked. I was on thyroid and still losing some hair. Doctor wouldn't up my dosage since it was within normal range. Went to a naturopath who increased my dosage and voila -- hair, nails and skin all better and I have enough energy for my workouts now!

They will definitely give you more definition. Also try lunges, stair climbing or uphill walking, hip extensions, and bridges (pelvic lifts).
-
Well they are for me. YMMV.
-
You all go ahead and eat that milk chocolate sugar filled Hersheys and Dove and stuff. Save the good dark stuff for me. ;^)
-
ice cream. ;^)

If you follow the MFP plan and link your fitbit in, it will add in fitbit calories to your exercise. Just started using mine yesterday and it's synching really well!

Designer Whey, MRM, Jay Robb are my favorites... Biochem and Whey Factors are good too.
-
Vitamin D helps a lot with losing visceral (belly) fat. Be careful though -- my levels recently went too high! Make sure to do follow up blood test and keep your dose at doctor recommended.
-
I've lost all of .2 pounds in the last six weeks. ;^)

You're close to your goal weight so it's tough. That's kinda where I am too. Things to try: more protein, less carbs, up the calories. Lift heavier. Switch up your exercise and challenge your body in a different way. Do some extra challenging workout days -- hiking, swimming, long bike ride or run, etc. Alternate high,…

Sounds like low blood sugar -- make sure to eat! And maybe look for a workout that makes you happy and not angry.

Started MFP around 150 and working down to 135. I have big hips and a lot of lean muscle mass, about 24% body fat right now so can't go too much lower than that.
-
Food. I'm pretty good about finding a workout I like -- right now it's Bar Method and strength training, in the past yoga and Pilates. Love chocolate and refuse to give it up. MFP is great because it's all about the macros. Teaching me how to do this right and still eat all my favorite things! The best thing if exercise is…

You're not going to "really get muscular" -- you're going to get fit and toned. You don't bulk up without a lot of testosterone and steroids. ;^)
-
Throw some bananas on there like Elvis and you've got it down!
-
Oh, please don't do that. Especially for a challenge. Health is more important.
-
Well, the peer pressure from teen girls will set in soon enough. Then you'll complain she doesn't eat enough. ;^) Stop stressing over her and just set the healthy example already.
-
Well the goal here is to teach people to eat and lose weight in a healthy way. If you just want to eat nothing and lose lean muscle mass, we won't stop you, though.

I work my craft beer into my macros. I tend to try and combine a craft beer with a good amount of protein and veggies. Fortunately most of the gastropubs I go to are really good at this. ;^) I don't think the beer itself is a problem, it's what people eat with it. If you're downing a lot of carby salty snacks with it…
