You do know most of us would kill to have this problem.... ;^)

squats. Lots of squats.

I like being strong. There's no way in hell I'll ever be skinny. But kicking *kitten* at the gym is fun.
-
I do 'em all. Our trainer uses free weights and machines, depends on what we're working on. And I do body weight exercises in my other workouts. I don't think it's an either/or thing.

cook it with BACON!!!!

darwinwoodka has logged in for 95 days in a row!

I've learned you're only allowed one really good "come to Jesus" speech a year, and the timing has to be right, so use it wisely. It worked on my nephew once and got him into rehab. They've never worked on my sister.

Love my trainer! Going on 3 years now. ;^) Husband and I have never felt better! We work out with the trainer twice a week right now.
-
I don't bench press at all. Trainer doesn't believe in it.
-
Dunno. Been stalled for the last month myself.

squats, deadlifts, clean and press, full body motions are the best for overall lifting. You don't have to focus on one body part a day. Triceps: reverse pushups. Best thing evhar. Biceps: pushups, pullups, clean and press Abs: Leg lifts, crunches, Situps. Really you can get in pretty good shape with just body weight. Lift…

Currently 144 5'5" and a size 8. But my hips will never ever be smaller than 40 inches! That's BONE.

Ok, kids... let's make it simpler... Fat: 1 gram = 9 calories Protein: 1 gram = 4 calories Carbohydrates: 1 gram = 4 calories Alcohol: 1 gram = 7 calories "Of all the food categories, the digestion of proteins is the most time consuming. It takes over three hours to break down and assimilate proteins. The reason for this…

You got fit. ;^) I've been stalled for over a month. Once your body gets fit and comfy, it wants to stay there!
-
Swimming is resistance training. ;^) You're just weightlifting through water. ;^)

The only problem for me is when the guys at the gym are using my weights... and I have to go grab the next one up...
-
Definitely have him go for the sleep test and get a CPAP if he needs one. Made SO much of a difference for my husband. And me, since he doesn't keep me awake all night now.
-
I'm on every day. Those who've friended me through MFP are on all the time, my friends who joined who are my actual friends are pretty inconsistent (even my husband...) I'm on a long plateau right now so the site is really helping me stay motivated. Keep getting ideas for changing things up to drop the last few pounds.

For me it's usually the fat or sodium levels. And hidden calories -- salad dressings, etc.
-
Great stuff! My recent exam turned up one thing -- my Vitamin D level was a little too high. That's it!
-
To me it means they may be thin and young, but at 54, I could kick their *kitten*. ;^)
-
Hasn't worked for me either. But I've been stalled for a month now. At least maintaining, though!
-
I would say add some ab work to make sure you're able to support yourself sitting up straighter. That whole leaning back thing isn't so good for your spine.
-
It takes time. Calm down, you're doing fine.
-
I kinda seriously doubt most of us are going to get to dragon flags, and would hurt ourselves trying it. ;^) Leg lifts, crunches, bicycles, russian twist will get you most of the way there. Don't get too crazy if you're just starting out.
-
Well, I do dumbbell cleans with 25 pounds...
-
I think for me eating at 1200 plus exercise worked for a while but now I'm going to have to use BMR and TDEE minus some percentage.
-
Tried the Quest bars and they stop me up. Went back to Lunas.
-
Vitamin D helps. Try a good D3K2 supplement if absolutely nothing else is working. Also leg lifts. Leg lifts are good.

Start now. With a trainer if you can. Worth it.
