Lift. So tired of women thinking they will bulk up. You really have to work at it to do that. And we don't have the right hormones for bulking.

Buy the sample packs til you find one you like. I like Designer Whey, MRM and Jay Robb the best. Great taste.

Rum and coke?

I've seen friends lose weight quickly only to put it back on when they go off their "diet". Losing slowly and learning to change your eating habits permanently will get it off and keep it off. Don't feel discouraged, you're doing just fine.

I will be more than happy to see A&F stop taking up space in the malls. Their clothes are nothing special.
-
protein powder ftw.
-
You won't get there without doing a serious cut. Don't worry about it.

Quest is low in carbs but full of fiber. Damn things stopped me up too much. Have switched back to Lunas, which are way tastier anyway.

More protein, more veggies, less carbs. Give your body some really good fuel to burn! Exercise -- walk, do some body weight exercises, squats, modified pushups, join a zumba or yoga class. Do some strength training. Read the boards here and pick something that sounds fun. Eat better and get moving!

He. I've been stuck at 143 for a month. Maybe you're just getting to a really fit point that your body likes. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. ;^)
-
Trainer. Worth it. FInd one that makes it fun. And a workout partner helps a lot, too.
-
It's easiest to do them on a Smith machine, but lately I'm just doing them in my kitchen at the edge of the counter. Literally counter balanced! ;^)
-
Counterbalanced squats to the floor. That's what I'm up to lately...
-
Tried a few and like the cookie dough, but all that fiber messed me up. So I'm probably not going to get them any more.
-
More protein, less carbs, lose the bread. Walk more. Lifting alone isn't going to lose you weight, it just helps build muscle and keep you from losing muscle mass.
-
Hang in there! I lost 7 pounds the first month and almost nothing since, but I'm already in pretty good shape. Might just take a little time. Stay with it!

For me some of it is physical security, but because of illness. I think what I fear most about being thinner is not having the reserves to fight off a serious illness. Don't know why this has always been an issue for me, but it's always in the back of my head. Maybe seeing my dad going through cancer and chemo.

I did a lot of lifting and working out etc etc but nothing really toned up my butt and legs til I did Bar Method. The other thing you might try is taking your squats all the way to the ground, even if just without weights. Been doing this the last couple weeks and am really noticing a difference in the hamstrings. But…

A good trainer is well worth it. I worked out and lifted for a long time before we found a great trainer, and have made more progress in a couple years with him than ever before. 54 now and stronger than ever!

If you're way under goal, meh. If you're close, log it.
-
Why does the body simply not burn the fat surplus to maintain or build the muscle? Why would you need to eat more? I mean I've lost weight but am definitely also more muscular than previously. And I've never bulked.

Could be acid reflux, could be dairy. Try some lactaid and see if it helps. If not, you may want to get that checked out. My son got acid reflux from eating too late at night.

The cake is a LIE. She doesn't have enough cake for all of us.
-
Well, my knees appreciate that after all those thruster squats last night. ;^)
-
20 pounds in a month is unrealistic. I you lose 2 pounds a week, you can do 8 pounds. Any more than that is not really a very good goal.
-
I suggest you stop reading the forums, then. Kinda what they are for.
-
I would say like me you're already pretty fit, and that makes it tough to drop anymore even if we think it would be nice. I think you may need to do a true cut diet if you really want to lose it, lots of protein veggies and good fats and low carbs. If you really want, try dropping the bread and wheat completely and "eat…

Add some weight and take it all the way down. Yes, they work.
-
Take your five pound weights, get down on the floor and do push ups on 'em. They'll work just fine.
-
No. Sometimes pissed if they're stealing my weights.
