BUMP. I am a writer through and through. However, with a two year old running about the house like a mad woman, I don't get the time to sit and write like I used to! One of these days though! LOVE the idea of a writer's group! I feel that deadlines aren't going to help me with the current novel I'm working on, but I'm…

BUMP! I've got to get those books! I got lucky in the sense that my two year old loves cucumbers, broccoli, etc. Heck, she'll CHOOSE broccoli over french fries at a restaurant! Don't get me wrong...she still likes her junk food (what kid doesn't), but she's fairly easy to please. I too puree veggies into pasta sauces. I…

Not a bad idea at all. I'm in!

I think this is my problem. I KNOW it's bad, but it's such a great "bad" habit. I fear getting rid of it will cause me to replace it with something much more caloric!

LOVE this.

Wow! I certainly didn't expect to get all the responses! Thanks for the suggestions and support, guys! You're great. Someone asked me why I don't drink the "real" stuff in moderation, and the answer is, quite frankly, but I don't like the taste. The only reason I started drinking it was because there was a vending machine…

I'm not entirely sure, and I'm certainly no expert. Here's what I'd say... A Plateau is when your weight loss sort of hits a stand-still. You're not losing, but you're not gaining anything either. Typically, most people recommend you combat this by shaking this up a bit in your routine. Whether this be eating more or less…

You look great! Good for you! You're inspirational and looking wonderful!

I'm interested in the responses you get because it's HARD to find ANYTHING low in sodium!

Hahaha... I've got one for the zealots.... "WALKING OUTSIDE INCREASES YOUR CHANCE OF BEING STRUCK BY LIGHTING," Or "WALKING INCREASES YOUR CHANCE OF BEING HIT BY A BUS," Yeah...People like that are NOT on my MFP team.

I prefer low-fat cottage cheese instead of dressing! Boost of protein and I think it tastes better!!!

I am now in love with your "responsible eater" phrase! Perfect!!!

As Mediocre as the movies were, the Twilight Series Soundtracks have been awesome! They're so ecclectic, and I'm in love with them. The Eclipse soundtrack is my favorite, but they're all excellent!

Honestly, I'd let myself have one. I don't deprive myself of anything. It only makes things worse. Then, when I got home from work, I'd go work off the donut doing something fun like dancing!
-
You guys are awesome! Thanks everybody!

I edited it, and tried again. Attempt two! Sorry they're so big, guys! This is my first time messing with any of this stuff!

I estimate sometimes, but when I first started MFP, I went and bought the cheapest food scale I could. I think I paid like four dollars for it. It has helped my estimating! I was able to first measure, and now I can tell about how much something is without it! I highly recommend using one for a while. Maybe someone will…

I don't believe in mass daycare unless it as absolutely necessary, so I'm with you on the "not wanting to leave the little one in the nursery." I worked at a daycare for sometime, and I know that there is no way that each child is getting the attention he or she needs when they're that small. It's hard for two adults to…

yum! bump!

I use mine as a dip for some bite-size round tortilla chips! You can have 24 chips for 140 calories! Yummy! (Or, you can be really bad and use it as a dip for regular or kettle cooked chips!)

Calorie-wise margarine is better. However, butter is made of NATURAL products! Don't get me wrong...it's fatty as all get out, but your body recognizes everything in it. It knows what to do with it. With margarine, I've read that your body tends to store more of it as fat automatically because of all the synthesized…

That's awesome! You deserve it!

"ours" by The Bravery "Cotton Eyed-Joe" hahaha....

Someone said something similar to me right before i decided to join MFP. It was sort of one of the straws that broke the camels back. I was out walking my dogs (a Siberian Husky and a Black Lab) and I had my toddler in the stroller. The neighbor stopped me to say how impressed he was that I was pregnant, walking two dogs,…

Look up something like the nutrition facts for diary queen, mcDonald's ice cream, cold stone creamery, etc...then average them out. That's what I would do. For instance, we have a burger joint in the area that does not have any nutrition facts. I think that, taste wise, it's very similar to dairy queen, so I log it in as…

This particular MFP friend is no longer an MFP friend. She's a nice lady, but I prefer friends that don't judge and allow me to make my own decisions!

We've both read it, actually. It was great! I'm not normally an "affirming words" sort of person (he is, actually), I'm a physical touch person. However, that does not negate the fact that it'd be nice for him to SEE (and be excited) about my weight loss. I know he loves me for me. I know he doesn't care whether I'm 40…

Great analogy! That's awesome Thanks for the support, everyone! You're all the reasons I love MFP so much!

Right back at you! Thank you for the friend add!

Don't feel bad, walkingGirl. My husband has been too tired plenty of times. I've ALWAYS been the one in the relationship pushing for it more than other times. I don't think that EVERY guy has to be a hornball. Just because he said "no," and he's too tired, doesn't mean he's cheating or that he's abnormal, by any means.…
