The Great Train Robbery took place in Buckinghamshire UK where I was born and still live and JFK was assassinated. Both events I didn't actually know the year of so was interesting question for me to look up .

You could always go with fish or a meat/steak with salad or vegetables. If you do have pasta choose a tomato based sauce avoid the creamy cheesy sauces and maybe a fruit dessert or sorbet but overall have fun, you still have to live your life.

I have osteoarthritis in my hips and also have a spinal problem for which I was due to have surgery, my back like yours can go and I can be laid up but since losing 42lbs the consultant has postponed my operation and the loss has certainly helped me. I had to be extremely careful with exercise and chose Pilates, it was…

Hi, welcome to MFP. I have yo-yo'd for years and always ended up back at WW. I lost 42lbs with them 2 years ago and then they changed the plan to propoints and I stayed the same for months, paying every week. I tried with them again last September, paid my 3 month subscription and didn't lose an ounce. I finally found my…

I usually weigh once a week, as soon as I get up

You shouldn't be despondent you have lost a good amount in two months and weight loss always slows. 1lb a week is actually a good amount to lose, its what most diet clubs recommend. It took a year for me to lose 42lbs with WW, which I managed to maintain for the last two years so I know that the 15lb I want to lose now is…

I used them, got bloated, suffered terrible pains in both stomach and head, became ill and collapsed. Not for me ever again, The friend that suggested them as being great then said after "oh yeah, the same thing happened to me" Thanks mate !

Be honest, log absolutely everything (even on a bad day!) and do it for you, not because you are told to by someone else

Primark for jumpers and tops are great but I usually find but their trousers vary so much it's crazy. It could also be that your shape has changed. For me the only place for jeans and trousers is New Look, they have a great fit but my mate swears by Next, so best thing to do is look around for a shop that suits your body…

OMG yes, Nasty racist, bigoted, disabled discriminating pigs ... thought we were foreigners cos of our surname so put it around they didn't want us to move in, then heard we had 3 kids. so didn't want us to move in ..... THEN ...... found out our child was disabled/special needs and didn't think it was appropriate to be…

I struggle with breakfast and have been grabbing a cereal bar around 11am. When I previously did WW I made a point of having breakfast and lost 42lbs. My friend pointed that out to me this week and I followed her advice Bingo 3lbs this week. I'm gonna repeat my week and see what the scales say next Thursday !
-
Thursday is my weigh in day, I used to go to WW on a Monday but that was awful after a heavy weekend boozing and socializing. Thursday seems a good day for me :-)
-
I find that if I drink alcohol and even if I have enough cals to account for it, I don't seem to lose as much that particular week AND defo have to agree with Alatariel75, its the 'hangover' food you have to be careful of, or in my case the chocolate or cheese on toast munchies I get at 1am in the morning when I roll in !!
-
WOW what an inspiration - well done you should be very proud of what you have achieved :-)
-
freeze it then suck a square, lasts longer or options hot chocolate drink might take the craving away

I personally think that expecting 5lbs a week is unrealistic, you would be better aiming between 1-2lbs a week, usually in your first weeks you can sometimes lose more but this doesn't usually carry on. It took me a year to lose 42lbs with WW. I have managed to maintain that weight for 2 years but now want to lose the last…
-
Well done for making a start and firstly good luck, you will get there. Take it slowly and the weight will come off, don't get despondent if the scales don't show the result you wanted sometimes we all have fluctuations where we think we should have had more loss one week than another. Make small changes, don't try to do…

I'm on here every day even if I've not been good ! Only been doing MFP for 3 weeks as had plateaued doing WW so I know how much support we all need to keep motivated. Add me if you like :-)

We did our first cruise last year and I gotta say I didn't track anything, I was drinking fresh banana cocktails most of the day and gained 4lbs BUT I wasn't bothered, it was our silver anniversary cruise and I was gonna enjoy every minute of it. Have fun and get back on MFP when you get back, don't worry while you're away.
