  • I didn't say it would, I doubt that is all the person would consume throughout the day. I bet they serve chips/fries with that item and then of course many would want a milkshake with it and then may finish off with a dessert. I am guessing that the same person would then want dinner or another meal later on.... yes…
  • It's an old wives tale, just take your shower :)
  • It could be a trapped nerve. DOMS usually makes itself known a couple of days afterwards as it is different from the normal stiffness associated with exercise.
  • Just have your shower, why the hell would you have to wait??
  • Split into eight still equates to 1,250 calories each - just for one portion of one food. Some people wonder why they can't shift the weight and many authorities are starting to ask why obesity is on the increase - burgers like the one on discussion here should give all those people all the answers they need.
  • You cannot remain on 1200 forever, because once you have reached your goal, you will, continue to lose weight. This is why once you reach your goal, you increased your food intake in order to maintain your goal weight.
  • Lack of sodium and lack of Potassium are causes of cramp. Drinking adequate fluids is a definite yes to do but if you are deficient in sodium or Potassium, drinking more whilst sweating means you are losing even more sodium and then in turn, by drinking even more fluids, you are flushing out even MORE sodium. Bananas,…
  • The best bit of advice in this subject is: Don't slouch when sitting, sit up straight and don't slouch when standing, stand up straight and don't slouch when walking, walk straight in fact...... don't slouch EVER!
  • Ya nutters lol. I am replying to this thread so that it appears in my topics and I can get to it easily, may the force be with you both :D
  • OP it could be that not everybody wants to do lifting.
  • I would be slightly more concerned with something else here OP. Consider the following: God forbid, you have trouble conceiving in the future, it will be YOUR running that will be blamed for the problem regardless as to the real reason. Couple do have problems conceiving, many of which the problems are never discovered -…
  • I wouldn't mind if it looked appetizing but it just looks plain disgusting. 8,000-10,000 calories, 600-700 grams of fat, 200-300 grams of saturated fat and 2,500-3,000 milligrams of sodium
  • I dunno, with some of the pavements round my way, there is a possibility I may go *kitten* over tit if I don't watch the ground
  • In a word, no it is not crazy and no, you don't have to exercise for a decent amount of time every day, you quite simply have to consume less than you use up daily. Edited to say, I didn't realize this thread was so old.
  • WTG OP!! I have a strong suspicion your improved times are due to the increased stamina you have gained from your longer runs. Last year, where you would not have been able to sustain your present pace, this year is different because your have done more mileage and so increased your stamina and so can run for longer at the…
  • OP yes, I do. I feel guilty if I binge on stuff such as cakes, especially when I have been doing so well up until that point. There is no need for me to see any therapist either, I know why the guilt feeling is there. There would, however, be a real problem if I binged and NEVER felt guilty. If that happened, then there…
  • Burning calories is not determined by the time of day (or night) that it is done, it is determined by the amount of effort put in. There is no better time to exercise, but the best time to exercise is the one that you enjoy the most.
  • Actually, I forgot to add to my earlier reply, that when I go for a run I always wear an ipod, if anybody does, or indeed, has done in the past, shouted at me, I wouldn't hear them anyway and to them it most likely would look like I couldn't give a toss what they have said, when in actual fact, I just never heard them.…
  • The quoted post above from BobbieLee is an excellent solution I believe. The pressure would be due to the watch and also the wearlink being waterproof.
  • Not sure what to say to "old dude" comment, he is 41 not 81 lol. I am 52, my heartrate has reached 172 for a solid hour's run,. and no, I do not consider that bad.
  • It is not the truth about culture actually, there are many British people in work, who turn up on time, do their job very well and want to work. You are fortunate, so far, that nobody has reported you for discrimination, watch that does not change.
  • haha no probs :D Just click the "quote" underneath and it will paste into the box you type into x
  • I got my batteries changed at a jewellery shop, they changed the battery in the watch itself and then in the Link bit.
  • The reason many overweight and obese people are reluctant to exercise is because they lack the energy with the excess weight they are carrying, it is one hell of an effort to "get going" than it is for an average sized person or slim person. It is not always to do with how they look, but how much energy they have.
  • Why are the police not able to trace the numbers those messages are coming from? Then when they catch the culprits, sling them inside. Seriously, what they are doing is threatening and they are disgusting excuses for a human being. Either start making examples or it will all get much worse :(

  • Right, little update. Have tried the gels, the first time I hated the taste but I found running on them was good,so I decided that although I detested the taste of the gels, the benefit to my running outweighed the taste and I tried a second time and found the taste of the gels okay. Got myself some more and will now use…
  • It stores the extra in the way of fat.
  • If only somebody had told the Aztecs this. Who will tell the Tamahumara Indians? I have two packs to finish, will let you know when I am done.
  • I always look on race results, that is what I do and contrary to what some people think on here I am not stalking or researching, I am interested in results in races, Mablethorpe is another half marathon road race, the results of which I viewed, that is ok isn't it? Yes creepy people on the internet sure do go too far,…
  • No, based on the time the OP gave when talking about his daughter's results. Not sure how much more simply I can put the reasons for my asking that specific question really.
