Yeah - Jillian and I are not friends right now :-) I like the shred workouts, but I do prefer p90x. My husband and I were doing p90x a year or so ago and we saw great results, but I stopped when I got pregnant. I'm hoping to start up again in April or May, but I need to get back in semi-decent shape first!

I just started the 30 day shred because my darling child is now refusing to go to bed before 8:30 and I don't have the time to do the p90x workouts... I've never had luck finding mixes with the pudding already in it, so I've just added a small box of pudding and it's always worked out fine. I'd recommend you do that - or find a different recipe! Good luck!

How close do you live to town or to the base? Maybe you could get a bike and ride to nearby places? It would give you something to do every day and it'd be a great way to sneak in some exercise too!

I walked in the Breast Cancer 3 Day (60 miles over 3 days) and I definitely trained for that. Not everyone on my team did, but I can tell you that the girls that didn't train were definitely in pain by the third day - lots of blisters and injuries. I had the same problem and decided not to use the bands at all anymore. Instead, I use wrist weights, which actually seem to give me a better workout (much more consistent!). Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
