Hmm... 16 times a week of running is a lot. I only run 9 or 10 times a week. I also walk a lot and go to a couple of yoga classes.

I have the Bob Ironman. Love it! It's a bit lighter than the revolution so I can easily take it up and down the stairs into my condo. My kid is 5, but hates taking the subway on Redsox game days, so I run commute with her 9 miles roundtrip 3 or 4 days a week, and it's still easy to push, even up hill with her in it.

I've gone up to the marathon distance. I had a great time running my one and only marathon, but I love 5ks. It is my most successful distance and I enjoy running "fast", for a little bit.

Ha! I ran a really easy 4:50 marathon last year. Here was my plan: Mon - Off Tues a.m. - 5 miles easy w/stroller Tues p.m. - 4 mIles easy w/stroller up hill Wed a.m. - 5 miles easy w/stroller Wed p.m. - 4 miles easy w/stroller up hill Thurs a.m. - 5 miles easy w/stroller Thurs p.m. - 4 miles easy w/stroller up hill Fri…

Ha! I round trip run commute to my office 3 or 4 consecutive days in the summer pushing a jogging stroller down hill in the morning and uphill in the evening with 50 lbs of kid in it for a grand total of 10 running miles per day! You'll be fine!

I'm running it!

My guess is that since the 21s are out there, and you got the 20s at a much cheaper price, that they had been sitting around in a wear house for awhile getting stiff. It's been my experience that a shoe can age even when not being used. I'd say, go to a store and check out the newest model and take them for a spin and see…

I used to hate it. But there was 10 feet of snow in Boston this year. For some of January, all of February and some of March it just wasn't safe to run outside. I've never been forced to run indoors in the winter before, but it was my only safe option. Anyway, 3 months of running on the treadmill has made me faster than…

Everyone is different. I have asthma, ended up with pneumonia in 2013, was out all of March because of it, still ran my mid-May HM, achieving an 11 minute pr. In April, I went back to training and let my lungs decide on each run how far I would go. It worked. I revised my plan too, because I typically run 13 or over for a…

So I ran a HM out here in Newton (runs down heartbreak hill of Boston Marathon fame). There is a spot that particularly effects the 9-10 min pace people, you know, me. It's actually right after heartbreak hill, I think it was mile 11, I got stopped at a major intersection. Totally threw me off, my pace dropped after it…

Well my hal higdon marathon plan had me doing 10 on Saturday and 20 on Sunday (not every week, over 6 weeks with a cutback week in between), so for me that was about a 2 hour run then a 4 hour run, because I'm slow as slow. But because I do what I want I usually broke up the 10 to 5 in the a.m. and 5 in the p.m. Sometimes…

Ha! I'm about as unnatural as it gets. I was not allowed to run the mile in gym class because teachers/parents/docs literally thought I would die. I have asthma, and being outside is a huge trigger. Anyway, as an adult I decided that I was going to figure out running. Couch to 5k took me 14 months! True story! But once I…

If it ain't broke.... But I personally have not found being fitted for shoes to be particularly useful. I have flat feet, I heel strike, I over pronate. The store wants me in a stability shoe. I hate the feeling of a stability shoe! The store also wants me in a shoe with a wider arch, but it feels way more comfortable for…

I love to do my long run (8-20 miles depending on what I'm training for) at 6-6:30 on Sunday mornings. I'd love to do it even earlier, but it's hard to find childcare at 5am on Sundays.

So you just have to pick the speed closest. I have my mapmyrun account auto synced with mfp, so when I run my typical 10:10 pace, it logs it as 11:30. So a 3.5 mile run will give me over 320 calorie burn. Now, because I run with a heart rate monitor a lot, I know that is completely wrong. I burn about 70 cals per mile, so…

I had been thinking of signing up for it as there was still space left, but then 7 feet of snow happened. When I ran it last year, there was a snowstorm about a week before. They suggested bringing a shovel to shovel out a parking space. So I decided last week, there is no way I'd run that race on Feb 22. Last year they…

UA gave me free shoes after they purchased Mapmyfitness. If mfp and mmf are one I'm thinking it may just make my life easier. Or the same.

I like to run outside. I take my sister one day a week. The rest of the time I'm solo. I like it both ways. Boston cureentry has 3 feet of snow. Roads and paths are a mess, so I've been running the indoor track at one of the Universities. Obviously not as good outside, but I can keep my own pace better than the mill and…

I want to do NY because that would be cool. Other than that I've picked out a couple in different places I just think would be cool, Wineglass in NY, Napa, Honolulu. But my marathon budget is not thousands of dollars.

From my run yesterday at sunset on the Charles river. Warmer, 28F, feels like 16F, but windy and the ground was coveted in snow, so it was a slow 10k. 1/1/15 - 3.12 miles 5k 1/2/15 - 3.20 miles _____Total: 6.32 1/3/15 - 7.10 miles _____Total: 13.42 miles 1/5/15 - 3.08 miles______Total: 16.5 miles 1/6/15 - 3.06 miles…

Forgot to post my run yestetday. 8F feels like -11F (I waited until it warmed up, it was -1F feels like -24F when I woke up). I decided to delay starting my HH advanced 5k plan until next week since I just haven't been able to plan on hitting my paces with the wind and cold ridiculousness outside. 1/1/15 - 3.12 miles 5k…

18f for my run today, feels like 8F and snowing. Had to skip my planned intervals for the day because it was too slippery. So I just ran easy. 1/1/15 - 3.12 miles 5k 1/2/15 - 3.20 miles _____Total: 6.32 1/3/15 - 7.10 miles _____Total: 13.42 miles 1/5/15 - 3.08 miles______Total: 16.5 miles 1/6/14 - 3.06 miles _____Total:…

Little windy today! 54 mph gusts for my lunchtime run. I guess it was cold too, but the cold doesn't bother me. I just felt like I was barely moving. Boy that wind was strong!!! 1/1/15 - 3.12 miles 5k 1/2/15 - 3.20 miles _____Total: 6.32 1/3/15 - 7.10 miles _____Total: 13.42 miles 1/5/15 - 3.08 miles______Total: 16.5 miles

Sick today! Lungs felt good though, but legs were heavy. Ran out of time, could only make it 7 miles in time alloted. 1/1/15 - 3.12 miles 5k 1/2/15 - 3.20 miles _____Total: 6.32 1/3/15 - 7.10 miles _____Total: 13.42 miles

I'm shooting for 100, but I'm sick and my asthma is very angry at the moment. Ran a 5k this morning went out way too fast and ended up 20 seconds slower than my pr. 1/1/15 - 3.12 miles 5k

I have been depressed because I can't run as much as I like since I don't run in the dark with the jogging stroller or take it out when it's below freezing. So I haven't been tracking here so much because of it. Anyway I made 95 for the month. 1462 for the year, up from 860 in 2013. Will try for 100+ in Jan.

I agree with the double layer wrightsocks. Awesome! Makes a huge difference to have running socks for regulating foot temperature. I can wear my socks in extreme hots and colds and my feet are happpy. I like balegas too, but I'm right at the end of the medium size range, so I wear holes in the toe pretty quickly. I'm at…

I don't really believe in rushing things. I went from just being able to piece together 5k without walk breaks in June of 2012 (in about 40 minutes) to running a half marathon in October 2012 in 2:20. After that I slowed my progress down on purpose and worked on running more miles. Ran 3 HMs in 2013 including my standing…

Thanks Fabnine! However i do get to happily report that i jumped the gun on getting my locks changed. I had to do it at the time, knowing there was a possibility I'd still get my stuff back. I was completely locked out of my house and it seemed prudent to pay for only one visit from the locksmith. Looks like I dropped it…
