I dressed in the same layers I do when it's 15-25 degrees, but added a UA Storm hoodie over all that. I had no problems. The only part that really felt any discomfort was my chin and nose jutting out from the hood when I was running into the wind...but even then it was not all that bad. Some chapstick is necessary though. I thought it would be far worse, but it wasn't bad after all.

    I'm still not sure if I will run in snow though.

    I can't even imagine this! I lived in a cold place for a long time but didn't brave running in temps like that! I'll send some 70º sunny breezes over the rest of the country :smiley:

    From my run yesterday at sunset on the Charles river. Warmer, 28F, feels like 16F, but windy and the ground was coveted in snow, so it was a slow 10k.

    I don't know how you all are even outside in those temps. Wow!

    Jan 1 - 5K on the beach;
    Jan 2 - rest
    Jan 3 - 34 mile bike ride
    Jan 4 - 4.5
    Jan 5 - Strength Training
    Jan 6 - 4.0
    Jan 7 - rest
    Jan 8 - 4.1
    Jan 9 - strength training
    Jan 10 - 4.5 — was supposed to go for a group bike ride but it was too cold for biking, perfect for running. Embarrassed to admit it was 45. But when you've been in FL weather for 30 years your blood gets thin. :wink:

    I am just checking in. So far I am at 10 miles. I think I am right on track to make 25 miles by end of the month.

    Looking forward to those warmer temps for sure! It started to warm up yesterday but was 12 degrees with 3 degree windchill when I ran this morning. Next week is looking a lot better. We will start getting into the 30's. It's ridiculous that I am happy to reach 30 degrees!

    I ran 1.5 miles on the treadmill yesterday and 3.9 miles outside today. I was hoping to do 5 but it was slick out and I was getting bored running back and forth on the dry part of the path I found.

    @ddmom0811‌ - I am right there with you on the thin blood. I used to live in the snow and
    cold but too many years in California have made me a cold weather wimp!

    @LoneWolfRunner‌ - looked at your profile and realized we are close in age and have been
    running about the same amount of time. Makes me even more impressed with your distances and that you run in those conditions in PA! Wow is all I can say! Way too, too cold for me.

    @SonicDeathMonkey80‌ - Congratulations! That's a great pace!
