Try reading through this. I've been reading and studying it for a couple days and it really helps. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12

I just made this decision yesterday also! I had been trying to eat at a 750 calorie deficit which some days took me below 1200 a day! After reading different posts, I realize I need to eat at my BMR as a minimum and I will lose more so I started yesterday. I feel like I'm overeating compared to how I've ate in the past and…

THANK YOU! I'm going to up it this week and see what happens! :)

I've been reading and studying this road map all day! I've figured and refigured and I think for my high body fat percentage, MFP has not had me eating enough calories. I weigh I'm 5'6" & 190 & wear a 12 and really don't look as overweight as I am because of the FAT. I've been logging for about a month and I think I need…

I had one 3 years ago and they recommended that I have another as a followup. I will be doing in the next couple months.

I have my Fitbit and MFP connected and they are pretty close to saying what I should eat a day but I don't seem to be losing much even thought I am staying at or under most of the percentages for protein/fat/carb etc. I just did a report on the fitbit for the past 12 days and it shows I've burned 27,675 calories and eaten…

I cooked all weekend and I was thinking the same thing........I may never use my stovetop again. It's so easy to throw food in this and let it go. Eggs scramble fast and easy. For dinner I bought some lightly breaded "Stove Top" cook tilapia. Sprayed the pan, 2 little drops of olive oil, 5 min on each side and it was crisp…

WOW! Great job! I keep looking at all these before/after pics and telling my self "slow and steady wins the race". We all want instant success but we just have to remain consistent and follow the plan. Way to go!

Anyone?

I'm hooked on the Fiber One line of products! Their Choc Caramel Pretzel Bar and Brownie are only 90 cal and are SO GOOD. I miss chocolate and candy bars (especially snickers) and this helps me get through those urges.

For any cyclers or runners out there, I definitely suggest you purchase a "Road ID" . We purchased the bracelets. If anything ever happens and you need medical attention, your information is readily available. It's well worth the $19.99! Check it out. http://www.roadid.com/Common/default.aspx

Love the Map My Ride App but warning it crashes once in a while. All in all a pretty good app. You can do Live tracking of Friends. One time my husband and I were riding and our son called from Indy and said, "So what are you doing on (such and such) Road?" He could track exactly where we were! LOL We have competitions on…

I think they are doing an update or something because it's the fitbit site won't work at all on my phone today. I guess they'll get it going eventually!

I'm not sure how it works but I have it set to eat a 750 deficit and it tracks my intake of calories vs calories burned and the meter will tell me "You need to eat x# cal" or "You need to burn x# more cal" (for the amount of food eaten). I try to keep it in the "You're in the ZONE" GREEN! I get busy and forget to eat and…

My husband bought me the Fitbit One for Christmas (hoping I wouldn't use after a few weeks so he could use) and it hasn't left my side! I bought him one for Valentines day. We love them! It works GREAT with MFP. Just make sure you set it all up correctly before you start. Get your step measurements as close as possible so…

I'm new too and I thought it was "New Small Victory". :) I guess it could be that too!

I did the same thing. Gained 3 pounds in my first 3 weeks but just kept doing the same thing and now starting to lose this week finally. Found I need to drink LOTS of water!

I've spent the last two years telling myself that "I can't lose because I'm menopausal". I'm heavier than I've been my whole life at 190. I hate the belly fat and feeling out of shape. I too had all the tests run on thyroid, etc.; we've all been through it. What I've found from following this site was that I wasn't…

Just found out I can now sync my Galaxy III with my Fitbit! So excited! Now it and MFP are both "mobile" along with me! :)

I just noticed that the new Flex they are coming out with doesn't track stairs/steps. Basically it and the ONE do the same except the ONE adds stair climbing feature. I like my ONE because I can carry in my pocket, clip on belt or pants, or clip inside clothing to be completely unnoticeable. Also, you can view your stats…

It's an excellent workout and a lot easier on your knees and legs than a treadmill. We have both and I try to mix it up but yesterday I did 45 min on the treadmill and strained a muscle in the top of my foot. Today it still hurt but I was able to get on the elliptical and go 60 minutes/3.5 miles. I remember a couple years…

You can add me also. I'm a 55 year old grandmother or two beautiful granddaughters. I also want to decrease my BMI and tone up. I just started and need to lose about 25 pounds. Love cycling and can't wait until it warms up so I can get outdoors. For now I use elliptical and treadmill and do cardio dvds.

Green Smoothie or Protein Shake. I never was a breakfast eater so this is the hardest part, making myself eat in the morning.

Great Job! You look awesome. I'm just curious since I'm just getting started.....those of you have have lost massive amounts of weight in 3 or 4 months.....what is the secret of your success? How often do you work out?

I'm in! My goal is 25 lb. I need suggestions and motivation. Thanks for starting this group!

My husband bought me one for Christmas and I love it! It helps encourage me to keep moving. If I'm at 7000 steps, I push myself to get in over 10000 for the day. If I have 3 or 4 stairs climbed, I work to get to my goal of 10, even if it means just going up and down the staircase until I get there before quitting for the…

Can't WAIT until warm weather! My husband and I started cycling in the summer of 2011. When we bought our bikes our goal was to ride 3 miles to town. LOL I now ride 40 mile rides and my husband regularly rides 60-70 miles a trip/400 miles month. He's currently spinning inside and training for a Century ride in a few weeks.…

I had it really bad about a year ago and in the Spring through Summer I started bike riding 4-5 days a week and the stretching of pedaling must have took care of it because it's gone. It's the only thing I did different so I believe that's what took care of it.

I am just totally blown away as I scroll down through this feed and see the number of pounds lost! Great job! I'm just getting started and can't even imagine being able to post number like this. I have 24 pounds to lose to get where I'd like to be and it seems like it will take forever. Taking your advice on the protein…
