  • When I push on my nail bed, my toe hurts, yes. But the pain still radiates to the top portion of my toe. I am actually not sure if I scrunch my toes when I run. I think I might.
  • I guess to clarify, basically my issue is uncontrollable snacking. Which I find impossible to stop.
  • I actually walk from the train station to school and vice versa. A lot of students do that as well as people who work. It's about a half hour walk and it's great because doesn't even feel like I am getting exercise! Just feels like I am going from point A to B! Maybe you could try something like that if it's doable? Is the…
  • Supernatural movies don't really scare me. The scariest movie I have ever seen was a lesser-known movie called Megan is Missing. Most people disagree that it's scary because there are very few "jumping out" parts. And I admit the acting sucks. But, what makes it so terrifying is that it can actually happen!!! It's set up…
  • YES!!!!! Absolutely!! I am not a parent but I received the vaccine in school when I was younger! I study a health science discipline (and know a bunch of the bs around vaccinations) and am a huge advocate for vaccinations. Why not protect your daughter from one of the most common cancers in women? Getting the vaccine also…
  • Bananas are AMAZING!
  • I totally understand the student life... coffee is my blood! One of the things I study in school is health science, and one of the things we learn is to read ALL of those types of articles extremely critically. More often then not they are exaggerated or just completely false. When you read these things, ask yourself: Who…
  • I just started (and finished) watching Stranger Things. I'm usually into the sitcom stuff so that was kinda far reach for me but it was so amazing I watched the show in a day! Apart from netflix, I'm excited for the season premieres of Simpsons, Modern Family, Middle, and Big Bang this week! I've also been watching Baby…
  • Thanks guys! Good to know I'm not alone haha. The weird part is that my pants and all of the clothes fit the same! And my pants (both jeggings and jeans) were tight when I bought them yet they still fit despite gaining and inch around the naval area!
  • Hi! There is not much partying that goes on at my school and the partying that does happen is just some small dorm parties. But I think living in a dorm just made me feel really isolated as well. I'm shy and have a hard time making friends and although I did have some friends in my dorm area, we weren't super close and…
  • This is something I think about a lot and really REALLY want to know the answer to. I have an amazing life... an incredible life. No financial worries, the best family anyone could ask for, and there's a very real possibility of my dreams coming true. I have my days where I'm very happy and alotttt of other days where I'm…
  • 1. I am an INCREDIBLY picky eater 2. I have severe social anxiety which makes me very shy at first 3. I sometimes talk to much about things I like / my interests
  • Beverly Hills, California. Had an event there and got to be treated like a celebrity... boy was I sad when I had to return to reality.
  • Ontario, Canada. It's night now so cooler but will be 33 and sunny tomorrow :) (too bad I'm stuck inside all day)
  • I was only 5 when it came out but the first time I watched it I was like 14. I can't go into the woods alone anymore... or near the woods.
  • I don't have any kids but I feel like commenting because your daughter is/was exactly me. I am in University right now in my last year and also have everything paid for and no loans and no worries. I also go to school an hour away. In first year, I lived in the dorms and came home every other weekend because I was lonely /…
  • Travelling, feeling good about myself, and achieving things related to my academics :)
  • If you had a cavity and never got it filled, it could result in a serious infection that *could* spread to the brain. That's in a rare/worst case scenario, but it does happen and not getting a cavity filled can be very dangerous. I also have a HUGE phobia of dentists and doctors (ironic since I work at a hospital lol).…
  • Powdered peanut butter!!!! It's amazing!!! I am obsessed!! It's only 45 calories for TWO tablespoons! And you mix it in with a bit of water and bam! Peanutbutter! For a while I couldn't find it anywhere in Canada so had to order it from the states but it's here now!
  • Sure! I use FitBit too and have been since I got it 14 months ago. I am slightly over obsessed with it lol and am very active on it. I set mini goals for myself. For the past little while my current goal has been to get over 115 000 steps a week (which I accomplished for the past 8 weeks!)
  • I use my fitbit to determine how much I burned everyday. So yes, I count my step calories. I try to get 15000-20000 everyday which works out to be between 2200 calories and 2600 calories (depending on if any of those steps were from running)
  • It helps for me, but only temporarily (right after a run for about an hour). Then again, I've been running for 2 years so I don't know how depressed I would actually be if I gave up running (probably more because whenever I miss a run on the odd time I feel awful). That being said, I think it also depends on the reason for…
  • Thank you for this post!! I LOVE anything Disney! In fact I am going to Disney World again in a couple weeks! I even have some beautiful Disney paintings in my room! Anyways... to answer your question: Movie: Lion King (Lilo and Stitch is a close second) Princess: Ana from Frozen Prince: Aladdin or Kristoff (love is…
  • Here is my order of prioritization and the amount of time I spend on each: 1. School (September to April) or work (May to August): 10 hours a day (usually a few hours of class +5-7 hours of homework). 2. Fitness: 1 hour of walking to+from train station and school/work, and half hour of a 4k run in the evening. OR 1 hour…
  • Me! Been playing since I was 9 (piano). Also play guitar and, when I was a band geek in high school, also the clarinet. I've started taking singing lessons a couple years ago too! My biggest show has been 3000 people! I love music! Listening and playing!
  • I pray this doesn't happen to me. I am currently an undergraduate going into my final year. I plan on getting a masters and am working on my CV for the programs right now. My Master's degree would be quite specialized and one that is needed in today's society with our over-emphasis on health and disease. So I really really…
  • Nope, aspartame does not "cause" cancer as far as we know right now. And even if it does, it's too soon to tell if aspartame has any negative effects on humans (it took smoking decades to be found harmful). There may be some studies to suggest that there *may* be a relationship, but the research on this is largely…
