Thanks for the reply. My worry is that if the steps are off, then what is the point of me wearing this to track my steps? I was previously using also my phone and I stopped using the phone because I saw it showed more steps than the watch and assumed the watch should be more trustworthy than Google Fit... Seems I may have…

Thanks. I'll see if I can get my hands on a strap and compare. It feels odd as I feel kind of worried now, but at the same time I don't actually feel bad during or after exercising so I don't know if I am over worrying 🤷 Can't stop thinking 200 sounds way too high 😐

To give s bit more info. When I say that I feel the stress during parts if the workout, I mean in the high intensity cardio exercises sometimes I'm like "oh I hope it's about to finish this interval", but not like not being able to breath or anything. Usually it's timed to when Jillien Michaels is saying "I want you to…

Well, short version: I really don't feel like I am over exercising. Sure, I'm tired at the end of the workout and sometimes my legs and/or arms are s bit sore through the day, but not that it makes my day harder. During the workout there are moments where I feel the stress, but again, not like I'm going to faint... As to…

Thanks everyone. I am keeping track of what I eat and managing a healthy calorie deficit. I quite like videos actually 😂 But want to change the one I've been using just to keep it interesting. More exercise than that is a bit complicated right now due to a mix of work and family matters. But I've just lost 3-4Kg in about a…

Apologies for being blunt, but that is just plain unhelpful and condescending. I am trying to change my habits. Part of that is exercising regularly. I'm asking a very specific question to find exercise videos similar to the one that I have now finished and liked. Not sure what's wrong with that.

Thanks, it hadn't occurred to me to check out the library Meanwhile, anyone has any suggestions I can find in Youtube for a good starting video?
-
Thanks for all the suggestions! I was kind of (lost cause, I know) hoping someone would say: "Go to X store, they have a really good low calorie cheesecake made with skim ricotta and sweetened with Splenda" but it seems everything points towards making your own! I will research the topic and hopefully find a good version…

No suggestions at all? :-(

We usually have either cereal, egg whites omelette (you an add as many veggies and mushrooms as you want and they still are low calorie!) and we also tried the 2-ingredient banana pancakes (basicallly whip 2 eggs -or whites- and 1 banana, and prepare them as pancakes - they are suprinsingly good tasting!). Other options…

Totally agree. When I was a little kid I got bullied a lot (including by one of my grandmothers unfortunately). Since then I've always felt fat. Right now I am (logically speaking comparing my weight to what I should weight), but the other day that I saw some pictures of when I got married 5 years ago I couldn't believe I…

I hope it's just like a "detox" of grease and bad food thing... We do shower immediately after working out, and she always uses exfoliant soaps and that sort of stuff girls like ;-) Oh well... I guess we'll have to wait and see...

I'm curious. I'm quite new to change my habits and have been doing cardio and (lately) some different types of situps. I just googled this 30 day shred video and it sounds interesting. Those of you who have done it, have done it as an addition to following the MFP calorie guidelines? What happens once you git the 30 days,…

Thanks everyone for all the answers! It's really really helpful! I think I might eat a bit more now, but will just stick to what MFP tells me to eat and see what happens :-) Hopefully both me and my wife will be able to post a success story at some point :-)
-
Yeah, I'm a lucky man :-) My wife just wants/needs to loose a couple of pounds. In my case I was literally starting at the obese level (right now I am on the overweight level officially) and I got some tests back that show I have a high colesterol. At that point we both decided we needed a healthier lifestyle (as opposed…

Thanks for your insight. I guess I will make sure I guet closer to the 1600 MFP tells me to eat, but will definitely not eat more than I feel comfortable with just to reach that number :-)

Well, here's the thing. She put on about 8 to 10 pounds since we moved to the US (exchange program, just in case). I think her ideal weight is supposed to be 48 Kg (105 lbs) and she is currently 51Kgs (112 lbs). Before, she was a bit "loose", "not toned" in her belly, but those 8 to 10 pounds she gained went straight to…

Unfortunately I did not get any feedback from my previous message and I would really appreciate some help here (I'm asking for my wife as she does not speak enough English to ask this herself). If you have any feedback please do share! My wife is in a "1200 calorie - related" situation right now which is not working too…

My wife is in a "1200 calorie - related" situation right now which is not working too much. According to MFP she should eat 1200 calories a day. She is about 5¨1 (1.55 meters) and has a thin complexion. Her current weight is about 112 lbs. She wants to loose about 5 pounds, but the thing is those 5 pounds showing in her…

That's a good question, although I'm not really sure, I just prepared the whole "batch" and then divided it into 4 servings... Roughly: rice is 1 cup (cooked) per serving. The "chili" itself again I'm not sured. I took out 4 plates and put an (approximate) equal amount in each. For calories I just added the total…

I can assure you it was great! It came out kind of similar to the Lousianna chicken pasta from the Cheesecake Factory (only with about 1/4 the amount of calories :-) ) Hope you like it!

BTW, we (me and my wife) started our diet about 2 weeks ago (and so far so good). What we did was research recipes, and made a list of all the things we would like (and are able to) cook and their calories. All this on an Excel file. We then went and bought groceries. Now every time we need to cook we just look at our list…

Lately we've had what we call "mini pizzas" for dinner. 1 (large) whole grain pita bread Add 1 Tbsp of ketchup and spread it over the pita bread. Sprinkle (not cover, just sprinkle) some low fat shredded mozarella cheese on top. Add some tomato slices, some chopped onions, mushrooms. Prehead the oven to 350 put it in for a…
