93, but stepped up to save my poor knees. Excellent WOD and I would love to try that again, but am going out of town this weekend!

3 rounds + 58 single unders Our box scales double unders to singles unders at a 2:1 ratio, so I was doing 60 single unders every round (because I cannot do even 1 double under!!!). Snatch was no biggie, but double unders are one of my goats.

Deadlifts are usually the number 1 movement that throws my back out. I've been doing banded good mornings (put a band around you neck and then step into with with both feet to make a triangle and bend over with a straight back, then stand back up). That seems to help strengthen my back, so that deadlifts don't put me out…

I love my nanos! Although I hear good things about Innov8 shoes...

Good to hear! My husband and I are planning to get pregnany next year and I want to continue to do Crossfit as long as I can. This gives me hope :)

I try to eat a whole foods diet with an eye towards Paleo, but am not super strict about it. It's all about sustainability for me (being able to cope with the real world without being super anal or a burden on others). That being said, I try to stay away from processed carbs and sugars because I don't handle them well -…

6am crossfitter here too and I WOD on an empty stomach. Maybe a mug of iced coffee or chocolate milk if I'm looking for a pick-me-up, but totally not necessary. I drink a protein shake right within 30 mins of my workout afterwards (drink it in the locker room after my shower at my box), but I don't notice that making much…

Thank you!

Holy cow - 300 lb back squat! BEAST! ^^ I personally have only lost 15 lbs in about 5 months, but my metabolism is jacked and I haven't had the motivation to cut the cals like I should. That being said, we have a girl at our box that started in April 2013 and has lost 90+ lbs (314 to 224 lbs) doing CF 4+ times a week and…

For me it would seem that it is a good thing. My 6am class regularly has 20-25 people in it, but our box is big enough to handle it and we usually have 2 coaches (instructing and checking form).

I've been going 3x a week since July, but I'm 100 lbs overweight and my body needed plenty of rest days in between to recover. I'm at the point now where I'm ready to start either going more or incorporating other exercise on my non-CF days. Have fun!

Wow, I'm on the other end of the spectrum from most people here. I love anything pitbull or don omar. Love me some reggaeton!

lol at salmon being a lean protein :)

I also completed that Warrior Dash (Milky Way!)

Those that are losing on strict Paleo, do you also count calories here? I was doing a pretty strict Paleo diet before I started CF, but never really saw any results. I've been watching what I eat for a long time now, so it wasn't a huge shock to my system to switch over to Paleo. It was just cutting out side items here and…

Great story. I am the same way. I've been doing CF for 12 weeks now and have only lost maybe 10 lbs (on a good day), but have lots tons of inches all over. My body shape is changing and I'm getting stronger, but the scale isn't really budging. I'm to the point where I don't really care though bc I LOVE CF and it has helped…

Agreed! The media is distorting what CF really is and is sensationalizing anything they can get their hands on to try to prove a point that has no merit. A lot of my friends who have never done CF think it's some sort of crazy, dangerous workout routine because of the way it is portrayed in the media. I tell them to come…

I agree. It's all about personal responsibility. People get rhabdo in football, olympic lifting, etc and no one sensationalizes that. Despite the sensationalized title, the clip shed a positive light overall on the controversy. I was just pumped to see my CF box, coaches and fellow athletes featured in the clip!

I've been doing it for a few months now and I'm 260 lbs and wasn't very athletic. As long as you do as much as you can, you will get a great workout and will see improvement in fitness. I love it!

I'm not sure this is true for every Crossfit box. We do heavy technical lifts, but not in high reps. Then, we follow that with a workout involving those lifts, but with a decently reduced weight, so you shouldn't have to sacrifice form. Also, all workouts are scaleable, so you have every option to lower the weight even…

I've since blocked her, but I had a meniscus tear in my left knee from a boot camp class I took a few years ago. The instructor there did not emphasize form or correct movement and basically just pushed us as hard as we could go. I told her that and she pretty much had nothing to say to me about it. Anyone can be injured…

My diary is open and I shoot for 1800-2000 cals a day.

I second Old Navy! Love their compression capris and shorts and their sports bra and pretty decent. The tank tops from this summer were super cute as well.

Not sure if it was joining this group or commenting here, but I just got another message from her. The exact same one she sent to me 6 days ago... wow.

I just joined this group, but got a message from her for posting about CF on a different board entirely. Wow, she is creepy...
