I do some movements prior to work sets, or in between work sets. It helps me with activation and shaving time off the workout. If you're intent on working around the injury, I would try different types of presses. I've had shoulders pain and injuries before, and in order to work around it... sometimes altering the grip, type of bar, path, etc. helps. Have you tried anything with a neutral grip?
