It's a still image. Could've been prior to taking a breath as well.

A lot of less expensive ways to flavor water than BCAAs

First little mock meet in the books, with BW at 185.2 lbs. No All-Time PRs, but performed well in comparison to them, while at a lower body weight. A strong improvement over where I had my 1RMs set at the beginning of this block as well (335 lb. High Bar Squat, 240 lb. Bench Press, 450 lb. Sumo Deadlift). 1x1x315, 1x1x335,…

Just chiming in to say Cook County & Chicago are a joke. Hopping county's when you live in Cook County isn't really a viable option either, unless you live close to the border.
-
Not to nitpick... but Cory Gregory did not come up with the concept of squatting every day. He brought the concept to Bodybuilding.com platform and "popularized" it.
-
It means, probably not, but possibly.... Again, it doesn't explicitly say 17 lbs of lbm every single cycle. Is a .001 lbm increase still gaining?
-
Learn to quote. There would be a point of diminishing returns... with or without exercise and with or without anabolics. So no, obviously you would not be able to continuously gain 17 lbs of lbm every 20 week cycle. In your original statement you also cited that "steroids don't build muscle", which I pointed out was…

Some good info here: http://sci-fit.net/2017/bulking-deficit-gaining/ I believe I saw this on either Bodyrecomposition Facebook Group, or ETP Facebook Group. Possibly worth creating a sticky in the Recomp thread too.

This. Many fast and/or stagger calories over the week. There are also a handful that put the energy to good use in the form of exercise as well.
-
Don't beat yourself up... good portion will be water retention, food volume. I just came back from vacation and weighed in at 189.9 lbs. Two days later I dropped back down to 181 lbs.... so, there's that.
-
Someone should invent an app where you can get a reasonable calorie estimate based off similar dishes. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal. If you're that concerned, just pull additional calories from other days of the week, or increase expenditure, and you'll still be able to end up in a deficit overall.

Do both, problem solved.

Small PR from over weekend... 1x11x405 (AMRAP) https://instagram.com/p/BSod8m-jmhn/

In a nutshell and super simplistic broscience explanation... cardio = burned calories = less surplus for "muscle growth" and potentially a trade off in lower recovery. Only problem is that cardio is pretty vague and there is a pretty wide spectrum between a 2 mile run and a 25 mile run, long cycling event for example. Oh,…

Wait... you mean I'm the only one who used to do that?

I was speaking from a popularity standpoint. I do agree they've been around much longer and have been popular much longer than "the last five years".

Uhhhhhh more like late early 2000's... Jack3d, No-Xplode, C4, etc. Pre-workouts have been around for a quite a while.
-
Mine will remain steady weight/intensity wise, but it seems like technique kinda suffers. Kinda like i'll execute a particular lift very, remembering all cues.... and then the other lifts I won't cue everything properly so they're not as smooth, or more difficult than they should be.
-
Do you guys normally have just one lift that seems to be clicking at a time? Every time my Deadlift starts to progress well and more rapidly, my other lifts start to feel like complete garbage... a la Squats & Bench.

PR from over weekend... Top set Sumo Deads 1x14x385 (AMRAP) https://instagram.com/p/BSWagMmjORS/

I work for money

Lol, always... Feels RPE 9,000 but looks RPE 8

Moved real fast

Top set 1x5x435 Sumo Deads PR. Not an all time PR, but matched 5 reps at this weight whilst weighing nearly 20 lbs less. Misgrooved first rep and lacked some tightness IMO, but overall I'm happy. https://instagram.com/p/BRi_bJrjndM/
