  • i spat my water. I had just said that in my own head. Will you be my new bff?
  • i can hardly spare the macros for a few drinks, let alone the impaired eating that insues. I drink less, then i eat less crappy food. When i want that 7-elelven taquito, like the cigarette that sounds so good after i quit five years ago, i just say, no... that's the drinks talking, don't go there. and i don't
  • nope pops down... i just have old looking hands when I'm thin. I have long "Mr Burns" fingers so the tendons show more easily. A small sacrifice for a better life.
  • I guess that's true, and i do find on a busy running / cycling week, my knees do start to ache... no reason to push that. I'm also at risk of running through my shoes, and i can't get new ones for a few weeks, so i should take it easy on my shoes too. Time to start something else at home. Maybe i need jillians abs anyways.…
  • i know the feeling. I'm happy to see the little ribs on my chest, above my boobs, not sure what you call that area. And the collarbones... My hands are starting to look old though, makes me sad
  • I'm a newb runner and a newb cyclist. I'm thinking of adding swimming this winter to make myself a newb triathalete! I'm thinking of running no more than 5 days / week, and only in half hour stints... I just don't have a ton of time for strength training. a half hour run is a great time to clear my head and i can go right…
  • i JUST did the 20 minute run on friday and i feel SO empowered. And i remember that "omg i just ran 3 minutes" victory and though how the heck can i do 20, 25, 30 etc, BUT the program will get you there and when it does, it's amazing!!! When the feeds are turned back on, feel free to friend me and follow my running…
  • I also totally get that i should be doing some weight training too; i keep thinking i should at least do the 30 day shred or jillians ab video on my "days off" but i feel way more motivated to get outside and get some air than move 3 feet from my desk, exercise then get back to work, and after work isn't a wonderful option…
  • i am so high on my acheivements today. I'm so proud of my 20 minute run with no walking today and i know i can do it, and i don't want to stop! My knees are hurting a little, so i do worry about the long term reprecussions
  • yay! thanks. Just thinking about this race has been getting me through the c25k practices. I don't know how well i will do time-wise, BUT i know almost for certain that i will be able to run the whole thing.
  • What other noob moves can i avoid making? I have never even really attended any races I will place myself just in front of the walkers. if there is an in between
  • i'm starting to get looks from the construction guys building near my daycare... I know they aren't very selective, but I'll take what i can get.
  • i'd love to see some after pics when you're less puffy. Or even in private (not creepy - just interested) I have had three kids and was up well over 100 lbs from where i am now, Between the pregnancies and so many years of being overweight, my mid section is pretty gross. I'm not sure where I'm going to find the money but…
  • now i want a cookie. not a soft warm homemade cookie, but one of those crunchy ones you get in a package. mmm
  • I love a big greasy burger too... i skip the sides for blue cheese and bacon. I really pay for it though
  • i tend to eat before hand or plan to eat after and grab something small that i have planned for. I know at most fast food places what a reasonable snack would be for me. Mcdonalds it would be a snack wrap. Pizza i would get one slice of vegetarian with lots of veggies, no dip, no chips, tap water to drink. I often use…
  • pizza and the dessert buffet
  • Maybe don't do it for the clothes. Do it to live longer, do it to feel better in your skin, so it so you can go anywhere and do anything without getting too winded (that's my big thing, i don't want to be the fat chick waddling up to the climbing wall and having everyone stare, but i want to climb the freaking wall!) If…
  • didnt love, but i just read that i was supposed to let sit for an hour... tht might have changed it a little. I'll give it one more shot.
  • trying these right now. the dough is SUPER sticky, almost unmanagable. but i did get them flattened out in lumpy pieces... they haven't browned yet after 10 minutes, but the oven may not have been up to temp, we'll see what happens
  • i like sponge cake (or a store bought angel food cake) with a filling of whipped cream, instant custard and cut up fresh fruit. I ice the outside with whipped cream, pipe some around the top and blob some of the filling on top as well. i have heard of whipping coconut milk, but i haven't tried it, you could go cool whip…
  • oil is oil, it's comparable to olive oil. I use it a lot, but within reason like avocados, etc. I trade unhealthy fats for healthy fats
  • Eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, frozen berries, kale/spinach/chard used interchangably
  • There was too man people enjoying nature on the beautiful trails my city maintains for us
  • down 43.5 lbs, down from a snug 18 (so realistically 20) to a 12 do we count that as 3 sizes?
  • i see it as a binge when you didn't mean for it to happen. If i bought a tub of ice cream with the intention of eating the whole thing, that's a splurge. If i wanted some chips, thought i could ration them over a few days but found myself licking the crumbs off the bottom five minutes later, that's a binge eating until you…
  • I think we all need to remember not to say "i can't eat this" or "i can never have this" There is always a time and place. If you eat right 99% of the time you can let loose however you want! I go for more 80% good 20% bad so i can stay sante and call this my lifestyle not my diet.
  • I'm a notorious clock watcher, which is why i run and cycle outside, so i don't even know when Im coming to my intervals.
  • here are my best options; option a: find something that doesn't suck; if you are doing cardio simply to burn calories, so something different that is fun. Swimming, running, skating, skateboarding, jump rope, rollerblading, surfing, hiking... whatever works... fitness won't stick if you are running on a hamster wheel and…
