Especially when it is very very hot out! I have even said outloud, "Aren't they dying from the heat!"

I have done a variety of classes in the past but currently I am training for a half marathon and do atleast 1 shorter race a month, so I run 3x per week outside, 2 shorter 1 longer, and do two group power classes at the Y per week. If I have time I fit a bike ride in there somewhere.

um went out to eat already close to total cals had shrimp creole (not so bad) but had an appetizer that was basically a melted brick of cream cheese with jalepeno jelly served with crackers. ate a lot of it. OOPS

I am excited! :). I mostly have quit these things but need to fully quit! Also I am going to add no vending machine/gas station snacks. I did that during lent and that seemed to help me.

Run 10 Miles. According to my half marathon training plan I will actually be at 11 mi that week! I am finding the long runs very very hard!
-
What does the diet plan consist of? I am curious:)

I am 5'5" and I think my goal weight will be about the same as yours. I just want to get into my healthy range not at the bottom of it. I am 168ish right now, and I haven't been lower than 164 since I was 16 and even then I was 155. So 140's are uncharted territory lol

I weigh 169 and I burn anywhere from 300-450 per class, depending on if I up my weights that day or they do the harder songs:).

Yes describes my house perfectly. Garbage doesn't even get put into the garbage. I spend basically all morning every morning cleaning up from the day before.

If I can find this I might try this one. That is a lot of protein for the calories.

Well I don't think I need to be attacked for using the wrong word to describe how I try to eat. I guess what I should have said is that I try to avoid eating a lot of "empty calories", artificial sweetners, excess salt, and choose more nutritious options. I try to avoid: chips, cookies, candy, boxed dinners, canned stuff,…
-
I try to limit processed foods, don't eat artificial sweetners, and think there should be a way to do this without supplements. The powders and the bars have alot of sugar and/or artificial sweetners it seems, and both are expensive.

Yes. Husband finally jumped on the bandwagon too! Started years ago, with cardio machines and weights, slacked off for a few years (a pregnancy thrown in there) but then went back the minute I had clearance to go after baby. Started again with cardio machines until I felt ready to go to classes, then tried them all (almost…

That I would be weighing and measuring everything on my digital scale 99% of the time That I would love to run so much as to chose it over zumba! I would chose to get up at 5 or 6 am to workout in order to have more time! that I would EVER get back into to my pre-pregnancy before gain before that clothes and smaller even!…

Hmm pre-logging. I should give that a try!

I think the worst is when an instructor mouths the words to every single song and exxagerated facial expressions like a mime!

30:23 for my first 5k in May of this year. In the past my time was 36-40 minutes, never trained for it before this year. I am training for my first half marathon in Sept, so i am doing a training plan for that: two short runs and one long run a week, each week they get progressively longer. I also do a weight lifting class…

I start it at beginning of warmup, and stop at end of streching after cooldown. HR usually doesn't get down to resting in that amount of time.

For lent I quit Drive-thrus, gas station food, and vending machines. for the most part I have to stuck to that since then! I think I have had one granola bar, one coffee, and one chocolate milk from those things and that was after easter:). Already quit soda for the most part except occasionally with alcohol, was only…

I know people who did the HCG diet, one of them lost 40ish lbs in a month or two I believe and then immediately gained it back. There is no way I would ever try that stupid diet, and it has taken me years to get where I am now and I am ok with that!

I have been doing Zumba for years in combination with other activities and it definatly did help me lose weight. I do have a few recommendations though: get the right shoes! Do not do zumba in running shoes. They are "sticky" on the bottom and this can cause knee injuries when doing zumba moves. Look for Dance sneakers or…

It is not a waste of money if you go to classes. No real substitute for that. Also a great access to a variety of equiptment if that is what you are into.
-
fabulous KP 24?
-
i have lost 90 lbs, but it has taken me over two years to get there. I know I shouldn't think of this as a race. Lately I have been happy with any downward progress. 26 to go:)
-
I can't believe that someone would stop running if they love it just because they aren't losing weight. Isn't the whole point of losing weight is to be healthier and to look better? What does it matter what the number on the scale says anyways if you are not doing things you love that are good for you. Rediculous.
-
Well, if I lose 1lb a week I will be at my goal in October. BUT it took me 2+ years to lose the 90 I have lost so far, so probably longer:)

I have heard this one about the exercising too! "Wow, I thought you'd be a twig by now because I know you exercise ALL THE TIME."
