I often think the same thing. I also look at others and wonder how they don't weigh more than they do. There is a lady that has a son on the same basketball team as my son. At tournaments, I see her and she is constantly eating: doughnuts, pizza, junk and she weighs about 110 and is pretty tall.

and 5'7.5". Ugh. Too early to be thinking. :)

I have been eating super healthy--veggies and fruits with lean proteins. I don't really eat any processed foods anymore with the exception of tortillas and yogurt. I really think that losing weight/shaping up is 80% diet. I really have been focusing on eating as healthily as possible the past few weeks. Hope that helps.

Insanity is awesome! I finished Insanity the end of May. I lost 14 lbs and 20" overall. It is an awesome workout! I didn't follow the nutrition plan but I did eat extremely healthy the whole way through. I started about a month after having baby #5 and lost the baby weight very quickly and toned up nicely. I am currently…

I finished Insanity the end of May 2013. I lost 14 lbs and 20" overall. It is an awesome workout! I didn't follow the nutrition plan but I did eat extremely healthy the whole way through. I started about a month after having baby #5 and lost the baby weight very quickly and toned up nicely. I am doing Insanity again and am…

I would like to know the answer as well.

Yes but I was recovering from a torn psoas major muscle so I wasn't running at 100%.

I read specifically about people using Welch's fruit snacks. I might try that. When do you eat them and how many?
-
For me a long run would be any run over 15 miles.

Thanks for responding! Dumb question- where do you carry them during a run? Do you wear one of those belts?

Wow! Thanks for all of the awesome advice! I usually don't eat anything before my runs as I run very early in the morning. I will start eating a little as my runs get longer. As of right now my long run varies around 10 but I often run more and I am running about 30-35 miles/week. When you talk about Welch's, do you mean…

I'm 5'8" and am at 116.4. My original goal was 125 but have list a little more than that now. I'm currently training for a marathon.

I had a baby in February and I started walking five days postpartum and then I started Insanity one month postpartum. I was not breast feeding though so you might want to take it easier. I lost all of my weight by 9 weeks postpartum and had toned up significantly. Good luck!

I'm 5'8" and am at my goal weight of 117.

My current fab is romaine lettuce, yellow peppers and a diced apple with a pear balsamic vinegar dressing.

What exactly do you do for exercises (if you don't mind sharing)?

I was jut thinking about/researching this exact question this morning. I am thinking about starting some type of strength training but I'm not really sure what to do either. I urgently run/cross train early in the morning so I am thinking about adding the strength training in the afternoon/evening. Do any of you have a…

I might take a mile or so warm up run as it takes me about a mile to reach my pace.
-
Thanks for all if your input! I have ran 2 5ks in 24:30 and think I would like to break the 23 minute mark. I'm just not sure how to start out fast but not too fast that I'm not able to maintain that pace. Any idea? Do I start out slower and then increase my pace with each mile?

I am going to be doing a marathon on October 27 and i would love to share stories, motivations, etc.

Good luck to you too!

Thanks for the info. I will definitely check it out.

Is there a specific program that you follow? I'm not familiar with crossfit at all.

Good for you!
