Motivation for pregnant women
I just thought I would share my experience with you all. I recently had baby #6. Once the morning sickness wore off at 17 weeks pregnant, I started working out again. I had been active before becoming pregnant so working out during pregnancy was not a health risk. I started out walking and doing stairs either hand weights…

Pregnant fit mamas?
I am 17 weeks pregnant with baby #6. In the beginning, morning sickness was kicking my butt and I ate whatever I craved at the minute, unfortunately it was all junk food. This past week I started eating healthy and working out again. I feel so much better no traces left of morning sickness at all. I have never worked out…

Is it possible?
I am 17.5 weeks pregnant. For my workout, I would walk on the treadmill for 5 min at an incline and then I would do some type of strengthening exercise (kettlebells, free weights, squats). My HRM says I burned 541 in 50 minutes. Is that correct? It seems a little high to me. BTW: I weigh 138lb and am 5'8". Thanks for your…

Weight training program
I have reached my goal weight by eating healthily and doing Insanity (I have about 2.5 weeks left) and now I would like to start weight training to get more muscle definition and lose fat. I have looked at many websites and have looked at several books, but it is overwhelming where to start. I am hoping someone can point…

Open diary with input needed
I have been eating healthy and working out for the past 1.5 months now. I am allowed to eat 1200 calories a day. I know this has been asked before and I have read old discussions on the topic but I am still confused. I started out at 135 and I am down to 123lbs with eating healthy and doing Insanity. I have been hungry…

One more running question...
When training for a marathon, I'm not sure what pace to do my pace runs at? My average pace normally is about 8 min mile. During a 5k or 10k, I speed up to 7:30/mile. On my 15 mile run, my oace was around 8:30-8:45/mile. Any idea how to gauge my race pace?

Need Marathon Tips
I'm training to run my first marathon in October. I'm not so concerned with the mileage as I can pretty easily run 15 miles now. I am starting to think about the actual race though. Do I need to use some sort of energy gel or sports bean? I'm fine on a 15 mile run but I'm pretty sure a 26.2 mile run will affect my body…

Carbs-does refined matter?
Just curious. I know the whole discussions people have had about sugars from fruits and veggies vs. refined sugars. I know a lot of people (me included) that say going over in natural sugars really isn't that big of a deal because they are natural. What do you all think of refund carbs vs carbs in fruits and veggies? Is it…

Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred
I am looking into doing Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred. I know that I can get the videos online, but I'm wondering what the schedule is like. It looks like level 1 is done for 10 days straight and then level 2 for the next 10 days and level 3 for the last 10 days. Is this correct? Has anyone done this program? What did you…

Random exercise--Will it work?
I recently completed Insanity with great results. I am now looking for something else to do to increase my strength, stamina and weight loss. I have been running every other day as well as doing a random Insanity video here and there. I'm wondering would it be effective to not have an exercise routine that is set in stone…

What do you all think?
Since you have been having a healthier lifestyle, have you noticed just how unhealthy others are? I try really hard not to judge others, but I just seem to be more aware of how unhealthy a lot of people's (including me before) actions are. Like at the store, people will have TV dinners, chips, cookies and all sorts of…

Feeling sick...caused by body used to eating healthy?
I have been eating very healthily and trying to eat basically no preservatives, refined sugars, etc. Today, I drank a carbonated water (Great Value brand) with aspartame and immediately afterwards I got a headache and started to feel sick to my stomach. Could my body be conditioned to not be used to the aspartame and that…

Butt/Thigh workout
Any suggestions as to how to tone the butt/thigh area? As far as working out, I run on the treadmill and then do free weights to tone arms and legs. I also do wall sits and various planks for core strengths. I would like to add an exercise or two that specifically targets the butt/thigh area? Any ideas? Thanks.
