I suppose being 6'6 helps out a lot! haha

I don't know how I did it either everyone! What I've done to get this far is pretty simple. I track my calories and use a deficit. I haven't calculated TDEE or anything, I just use what MFP recommends me. I never eat over my allotted calories for the day, not even once! Also, I purchased a heart rate monitor and use that…

I eat dirty. The only thing I've cut out is soda (I just don't see the point of it). As a college student I eat fast food regularly, microwavable meals, too. I have lost 48 pounds since late February by only counting my calories, doing a lot of cardio, and moderate weight lifting. It's possible to eat dirty and lose. But…

I have the Polar FT7 and love it!

Having one cheat day is going to make you want to have more. Don't cheat ever if you can handle it. If you want that brownie, factor it into your calories. That piece of cake? It too. If you want even more flexibility, exercise more.

Buy a heart rate monitor. It helps a lot! You'll know exactly how many calories you burned.

You can add me man. I'm 6'6. Currently like 270-something. It's been a while since I've weighed.

When I first started dieting (not even clean eating, I haven't done that at all), I dropped 19 pounds in a week and a half. So yes it is normal, as long as you aren't starving yourself. Bigger people have a lot more to lose so they lose it fast. I was 310 at my start.

I've always felt like giving blood was a duty but I could never bring myself to donate, I was paralyzed with fear by the idea! But I'm glad I mustered up the courage to finally do it, and I plan on doing it again once I can again! Thanks for the feedback everyone! I guess I'll just let my body have some more time to…

Yes! This was my first donation ever.

Yep! They said to wait 24 hours. Mostly to keep the puncture wound from re-opening I suppose.

I have the Polar FT 7 and it is amazing! I highly recommend it.

My starting weight 55 days ago was 310 pounds at 6'6. I dropped close to 20 in a week and a half. And have lost more since then. I currently weigh (as of last week) 280 pounds, including wearing all of my clothes and shoes. So it's bound to be a bit less than that. I never go over my calorie goal, and exercise as much as…

Alcohol naturally occurs in the environment...

Hummus and anything is always good. Today I took a pita pocket and stuffed it with hummus and pretzels. It was delicious.

I used to be the same way. All I can say is suck it up. You get used to it and it becomes the most refreshing thing in the world.

I weighed 310 and dropped to 290 in a matter of 2 weeks. It is perfectly normal to lose that much weight. Big people lose it faster. But if you're concerned, see your doctor.

Can anyone help me out? I don't want to hurt myself!

Hi! I'm a male. 19 years old. 6'6. My starting weight was 310 pounds, currently I weigh 292 pounds. My first goal is to hit 270, then my ultimate goal is 240.

I am finding myself eating from 1500-1700 calories per day. Is this bad? The first few days I felt relatively hungry, though I suppose that was getting used to not overeating. And now 1500-1700 is enough for me. I don't feel too bad at all. I suppose I COULD eat more, but would it hurt me to not?

Thanks so much for you input everyone! Do you all have a specific brand of scale that you recommend? I want the most accurate measure possible.
-
Thanks so much!

I have indeed had hummus before, it is a favorite of mine actually. Thanks for the idea!

Could you all give me some healthier alternatives to junk food? I know fruits and vegetables, obviously. But I mean more along the lines of certain products.

Thanks for the feedback everybody I really appreciate it!
