Lost 8lbs. SW 264 CW 256
-
I don't usually comment on threads like this but this made me mad. I started at 265. For my height I think my healthy weight is 150 or something. I suffer from PCOS. It took me 80 days of eating right and exercising to lose 7lbs. Do you know how daunting that 150 goal is? I think I have my ticker set to 165-170 or…

you do realize it's because you visited that site or something similar and now it's displaying that. Targeted advertising. :)

Don't worry I am right there with you. Hello everyone. My starting weight is 260. I am 5ft 8in. I will be weighing in every Saturday. Best of luck!!

Is this for real? ^_.

Mission accepted. Feel free to add me. I log in daily. I am little on and off about recording my meals but for the most part I am keeping track. There is nothing wrong in wanting to loose to look better or fit in to clothes.

Ice cream was just an example. :) My downfall is carbs not sweets. Give me pasta and that's a different story. I went low on carbs because of the prediabetic thing and thought 130 sounded like a good number. That's about 8 servings of carbs (in diabetic exchange terms). As for the 1500 in the past, those were estimates now…

Thank you this helps. I'll increase by 100-200. The frustration is it takes long to figure out if that number worked. While I don't believe in shortcuts to lose weight I just wish I can find the magic numbers that will work for me so I can get started.

I am not sure if you asked the original poster or me. If it was me I was diagnosed by a doctor. I am also prediabetic.

how many shakes/meal replace do you have a day? Sorry about the questions. I suffer from insulin resistance and was just curious.
-
I can definitely see the difference in the stomach area. Keep it up!! What kind of protein shake diet are you on?

I went to the doctor. I have been tested for thyroid and PCOS. Thyroid was clear and even though nothing indicated PCOS, they still put me on metformin (fertility issues). I took metformin for 6 months, the doctor even suggested that insulin resistance may be stopping me from losing weight. It didn't resolve any issues and…

Thank you for your advice. I think this is what I was really trying to figure out because every where I read it said not to eat below BMR but at or above just sounded like a lot of calories. At 256 according to my BMI I am in the obese category.

Just opened it up. I have only started again this week so there is data for the past three days for now.
-
I understand what you are trying to say. And I know exactly how I got here but I do log my food and I know it can be inaccurate so I always assume I have under logged my calories. While there are days I might eat around 2000 calories, it's not every day. I am stuck at the same weight for a year so I am obviously not over…

I am in the same boat as you. I keep losing track. Thankfully I haven't gained any. I have now stopped thinking about the end goal. I gave myself a goal of losing 10lbs by halloween. That's 2 month and since I am obese it should come off in 2 months easy. If and when I accomplish that, my next goal is to lost another 10lbs…

That fasting is well within the normal range, not even prediabetic. Doctor is probably concerned because your A1C is 5.8. Normal is 5.7 and below. If you are over weight, losing 10-15 lbs will get you into the normal range. I am pre-diabetic. My A1Cs are 6.3 (6.5+ is diabetic). Last one was 5.9. My fasting was anywhere…

How much do you exercise?

I got pregnant with my first child no problem. I am trying again and my periods got irregular as soon as I stopped taking the bc pill. Doc suspects I have PCOS but it's not definitive. I am however, pre-diabetic and insulin resistance is causing me to not lose weight and she suspects it is what is causing the whole mess…

I am on day 3. Feel free to add. :) I was sore day 1 and day 2. I am no longer sore. I have yet to do day 3. I am glad I started over the weekend so I didnt have to come to work all sore. I feel fine now. Didn't see anything change with energy level. However, day 2 I felt like I could do a little more and push myself a…

Bella, You don't need to buy it. It has three levels. On you tube search 30 day shred level 1 and you will find the whole program. If you want to buy the dvd it's available at target. You will only need hand weights and a mat if on a hard surface. I am 253 lbs 5' 8" female. I started it on Saturday. It was hard but I…

Congratulation on your NSV's ladies!! :) I haven't lost a whole lot but today I had to wear a belt to keep my jeans up. :) Felt good.
-
I don't think it's true. It counts step on movement. Where do you wear yours? I keep mine in my left pant pocket or wear it on my shirt. Maybe you have it on the right leg and while you switch between accelerator and brake it's registering movement?

B - How do you get time for 4 walks a day! :| As is I disappear from work for an hour to go to the gym and then go home and work the extra hour from work. I have a desk job. On gym days I am getting to 7000 steps. On a treadmill it takes me 17minutes to do a mile.I am out of shape and can't run/jog to save my life. Plus I…

I am new here as well. Just found about linking fitbit to MFP. Have been on fitbit since June last year!
