FiberOne chocolate and oats granola bars taste like a treat and are 140 calories per bar. They also have 90 calorie bars but I don't like them, they have a weird coffee taste to me. Swiss Miss hot chocolate, 25-190 calories per packet depending on kind. Oreos, 140 calories for three cookies isn't too bad.

I have to second the grapes, I can't wait until they come into season. I also find Siggi's yogurt expensive, but it's my favorite kind, so I tolerate the price. QuestBars, mozzarella sticks (is anyone else paying $4 a bag?), and Weight Watchers brand bread.

1. The cold feeling. For people in maintenance, does this ever go away? 2. People treating me more nicely. In particular, men have finally started to notice I exist. 3. I am more accepted in the Equestrian community, and I can ride a wider variety of horses. Also, my half chaps are getting very loose. I genuinely never…

I don't strength train, so I can't comment on that portion. If you want to increase your rate of loss, I don't think it will be detrimental if you drop to 1,400 as long as you eat back half of your exercise calories. However, if you find that you are too hungry eating that way I would move back up. Experiment, but remember…

When I first started trying to live a healthier lifestyle, I just stayed away from it. I did this for one reason: I found fitting the calories into my day difficult. Now that I have much more practice logging, and more of an idea of where to go, I am more confident eating from a fast food joint if that's what I want.

I had weighed in at 180 for a very, very long time, and for some reason my thought was always "at least I'm not 200 pounds" (no offense intended to those who are or were 200 pounds, I was in middle school at this point and I have no idea what my rationalization was that 180 was perfectly fine but 200 was not). In school…

I have been picky since I was a little girl. I was very bad when I was in Elementary school. My diet consisted of: balogna, hot dogs, peanut butter sandwiches, junk food, bananas, and up until about the first grade, baby food. That's about it- I wish I was joking. I got a LOT better in middle school. However, I still am…

*Make a smaller/less aggressive goal *Get a food scale if you don't currently have one *Put a note somewhere you can easily see it and remind yourself to log- a few days of forgetfulness can easily blow a deficit. Some people who have been logging for years can go without, but I STRONGLY suggest you log daily- make it a…

Depends on you, personally. If you prefer saving more calories for night, do so. I find that I usually like at least 200 calories for breakfast, but you may like skipping it. Experiment to see what's right for you! :)

Is there any way you can buy a smaller portion? It may seem more expensive but it seems your main issue is getting tired of it and then food going to waste. I'm not sure what you're buying now, but I find that small pre-packaged salad greens at the store are usually enough for three-four salads during the week depending on…

Just keep logging. I got off track after Christmas too, sometimes it happens. You may be like me, in that you may have to log your entire life in order to manage your weight. If that's true, a week or two is barely a blip on your radar. Some of the gain is very probably water weight. You can do it :)

Alatariel is completely right. I have come to regard losing weight like going to school or work. I'm not motivated to do these things. Sometimes I hate these things. But I have to do them regardless of how I feel about them. Managing my weight is going to be a lifelong process- through good times and bad. I think coming to…

Is there any way you can pack food for yourself ahead of time? Bring a cooler packed with a few sandwiches wrapped in aluminum foil, maybe? Or focus on eating a big salad and some chicken, while avoiding dressing (not because it's bad, but if it's unlabeled it's impossible to tell the calorie content)?

At my school the AP chem students usually do an experiment. The information is actually factual, so not sure if it counts, but I think it's funny. I tried it on my father and it works. Water (H2O) can also be called dihydrogen monoxide. Ask if it (dihydrogen monoxide) should be banned- after all, everyone who comes into…

The tea itself doesn't have to be if you don't want to, as most tea is typically zero calories. However, if you are concerned with sodium or other macros, you should. The milk definitely should. A 1/2 cup of milk can add up to a surprising amount of calories.

Short term: get to 130 lbs. Long term: get to a weight I am happy with, which will probably be under 130.

Chicken. I can clearly remember days when a whole bag of chicken strips would be lunch/dinner. And recently I discovered just how much I love chicken when my father ordered pizza, french fries, and pizza. I wasn't even tempted by the pizza. It literally made me mad that I wouldn't be able to fit the chicken fingers into my…

What time and how many meals you eat makes no difference to overall weight-loss. It is all personal preference and how meal timing and amount of meals effects you. Personally: on school days I eat three-four meals and maybe a snack. Weekends I tend to either eat many small meals or three big meals with one or two snacks.

Some of the responses here disappoint me greatly. I don't believe she is promoting an unhealthy lifestyle in the way that thinner models sometimes can. And here's why- thin models are by far the majority, while "plus-size" models are definitely the minority. Unless you specifically shop at plus-size stores, or look for…

The caramel macchiato is amazing. I have currently just been eating out of the container, but I will have to try the pancake thing!

I agree with other posters. Remember, weight loss isn't a race! You may also benefit from trying to improve your mental relationship with food and your weight. However, great job on staying on track! You should be proud of yourself :).

I like them! However, do I or did I ever think eating them would make me lose weight? No. However, at one point I did think they were "healthy", which I think would be disputed by most members here haha. My mom did buy them on one of her health kicks, saying they were supposed to help you lose weight, so maybe it's a…

18 after six months. I was sad, but I got over it.

I have to be really careful with sweets/chocolate. Eating one treat can easily lead to a major craving for a whole cake, or as many cookies as I can eat before I feel like I'm going to throw up. Which leads to me eating whatever I want in the kitchen, since hey, I already blew my deficit. I am making good steps to fixing…

Swiss Miss hot chocolate...there is a diet version and I think a no sugar version. However, I prefer the milk chocolate which if I remember correctly is 90 calories per envelope. I mix it with water but you can make it a bit more rich (and calorific haha) if you mix it with skim (or preferred) milk. Sometimes I add two…

Hey, I ride at an English (primarily jumpers) barn. I'm going to add you guys.

Dark chocolate is usually low in calories compared to milk chocolate- I like Lindt and Ghirardelli. The serving size and calories make it a very decent treat, in my opinion. 16 pieces for 170 calories. Swiss Miss hot chocolate- they have a diet variety for 25 calories. I can tolerate it, but it seems to not dissolve very…

They're nice if you want a low-cal dessert. For meals or snacks? Personally, I would much rather have just about anything else.

I understand how you feel. The main thing is that I had to make steps toward accepting my body and the way it behaves. For me personally, feeling jealous of the way other people can eat or resentful of having to watch calories leads to a hatred of my body. And I find that loving my body is very important in losing weight…

It depends. If you're using the calories MFP gives you- which I do- I would eat back around half. Wait a week or two to see how your weight is. If you're unhappy with the rate of loss, you can try changing it to eating back 1/3. If you're using TDEE, then exercise is already factored in- so if you journal your exercise on…
