Most weeks: six days out of the week I am under, and one I am over. The one day I am over doesn't hurt my progress. I am sure you can find any number of ways to fine-tune your calorie count to your liking. Maybe have the days during the week be set at a higher weight loss rate (higher deficit) and the weekend be set at…

Work on your mental relationship with food. The foods you eat should not determine how you feel about yourself.

It's not essential to have one, but if you want one every once in a while, personally I feel like they are a nice treat to have :) How often is up to you, but personally I don't like to do any more than once a week. I didn't find that it ruined my progress. The problem comes when one indulgence turns to another...and…

Cheesecake. I've given it many tries and I just don't get the appeal. I love almost everything classified as a dessert, but I just can't take more than a bite. It grosses me out majorly. Also, anything that is supposed to resemble a pretzel- like pretzel rolls, bagels, etc. I always expect awesomeness but they are way too…

It really depends on you, personally. I've experimented with increasing my 1,320 to 1,450ish regardless of exercise and I didn't lose and didn't feel much of a difference. I now eat 1,320 as a base and half my exercise cals, which adds up to about 1,400 most days. For whatever reason, I feel much better doing this. TL;DR:…

To those saying horseback riding, I highly encourage you to visit a barn and see if you can ride/interact. I'm unsure of your exact weights as there was more than one that mentioned it, but you may be surprised at how much horses can comfortably carry. And even if you are too heavy to ride, just being at the barn and…

Really, I don't often see people judging people for running. The most I've gotten are positive comments. So keep your chin up and do what YOU want to do!

I weigh once a week. It keeps me motivated while not making me fear the scale too much. If I weigh too much on my weigh-in, I know my week in general definitely wasn't good.

I weigh most fruits but measure bananas (there is an option for small being around six inches, medium around seven and so on, so I use that one). I portion out vegetables according to size and not weight most of the time- for example, two five-inch stalks of celery. I don't measure lettuce because I simply refuse to, lol.…

Entire pint of Ben & Jerry's in one night...has happened more than once, lol. Also two Paula's Doughnuts in one night. Anyone in the WNY/ upstate NY area will know why this is considered a binge, lol. Chocolate cream filled, and NO regrets, lol.

New haircut, new clothes, I horseback ride so at some point I will probably set a lease or show as a reward for a big weight goal (you can just replace with whatever is your hobby/passion), and bath stuff (shower gel, bath bombs, bubble bath mix, etc).

I use mine to more accurately track calories burned during exercise (it came with a heart rate monitor). But as others said, it does give you a better view of calories burned during the day.

Slow at first, you can always work on "perfection" later. Remember, no one is or can be perfect. All we can do is try our best. Personally, I started slow on things that were relatively easy for me to change.

So many inspirational women on this thread! Keep up the good work, everyone! SW: ~200lbs, not on MFP CW: 143 lbs GW: 120-130lbs. My GW was 140 lbs for a LONG time, and now that I am so close, I see I have a lot more to lose.

Vivofit tracks calories burned throughout the day and can be linked with MFP. It also tracks calories burned during exercise when paired with a HRM. It tracks steps throughout the day.

Being the most involved with horses and horseback riding I've ever been. I hope to do even more with horses in 2015, and get some shiny blue ribbons for my wall!

Amazing job, you should be proud of yourself!

Canned soup, Ramen noodles, Chef Boyardee, and eggs (I finally figured out I can eat egg whites, but for some reason the whole egg makes me feel nauseous).

I received a Garmin Vivofit for Christmas, I really like it! For fitness, devices aren't necessary, but they are useful and fun to have. The main reason I asked for a Vivofit for Christmas is the ability to use a HRM during workouts. It does work with MFP, though you need to manually sync it throughout the day.

Didn't lose much there from 200 lbs- 160ish, and at 160 I was a 36-38C depending on brand. Just got measured at 143ish pounds, and I'm a 36B- I was expecting to go down a band size, not a cup size! Lol, just goes to show you can't choose where you lose the weight.

5'4" SW: 200-ish lbs (not on MFP at the time) CW: 141 lbs GW: 130, but I'm really not sure at all. I was aiming for 140 for the longest time, and now that I'm only a pound away, I can see I can afford to go lower than I ever thought I could. It's kind of surprising to me, but I'll keep working until I'm happy with my body.

I'm hoping to bake some sugar cookies soon, and my mother has already made four batches of different cookies. I love holiday cookies.

What method are you using (MFP or something like TDEE)? Are you eating back exercise calories? Are you measuring what you're eating? How long have you been trying? It's very easy to become complacent about logging and start eye-balling portions. Personally, I believe the most important thing about logging is being sure to…

There's a difference between enjoying a day or even a few days of indulgence versus consistently over-eating. A day of eating over maintenance is no big deal. I do nothing to "make up" for it. However, if you're consistently "cheating" or eating over maintenance, you will eventually gain weight. If you wish to keep…

Run a 5K and hopefully a 10K.

Things that have low calories in a lot of bulk, like vegetables. I also find that protein keeps me very full.

I don't know if it's the easiest. Cutting sugar can be difficult for a lot of people, especially in the early days. I agree with the poster who advocate a well-rounded approach, not cutting anything out completely, but reducing portions. At the beginning of trying to lose weight, I did cut out sugary sodas, but others may…

Not sure how much more I want to lose, but add me! The more the merrier :)

Feel free to add me!

It is difficult. I'm hoping it comes with time. I tend to dress in baggy clothes until I can't stand it anymore. As a person who's been overweight all my life, learning how to dress is a struggle. What's my style? How are clothes meant to fit? These are all questions I am willing to learn the answers to, haha!
