How did it start for you?
How did your binge eating start? I was on a break from school and had a few really bad days in a row. Panic, restrict (or purge). Repeat. The really weird thing is that I feel like I could recover relatively easily if I didn't find binge eating so...pleasurable? I probably sound crazy, and yes, in the end there's always…

Disordered Habits- Confession/Support
So, I hope it's okay to post this here! Long story short, losing weight seems to have done something to my brain. I don't think I have a full-blown ED, but I certainly have what I would consider disordered habits that have caused me to more or less maintain instead of gain or lose. I'm wondering if anyone else has found…

I have to admit, I thought that losing weight would automatically improve my self-esteem and confidence. But I'm finding more and more that I still really struggle with these things. I am looking for advice from others who have had the same issues. Thanks to all!

Gained On New Calorie Goal, Should I be Worried?
Last Wednesday I weighed in at 145.3 lbs. Now today I weighed in at 146.9 lbs :( . What changed between Wednesday and today is that I raised my calorie intake from around 1,300 to now 1,490 calories. TDEE says my BMR is about 1,500 and my TDEE -20% is 1,676. I tried to change my calories to 1,400 last month and gave it a week. At the end of the week, I had…

Some questions for runners!
Just out of curiosity, when did you start noticing changes in your body after you began running? When do you need to get new shoes? Mine are getting pretty worn out on the bottom, and I use them for running as well as every day walking around. I would also greatly appreciate tips on how to improve my lack-luster pace!

Calorie Advice Needed
I calculated my BMR (about 1,600 calories on most calculators) and calories I should eat to lose weight (1, 900 calories). This would require me to eat more. Everyone tells you to eat less when you are trying to lose weight, so I find this an odd idea. Should I really increase my calories based on these findings? Thanks…
