I also have Hashimotos Thyroiditis. When I was first diagnosed I had gained almost 100 lbs. It took several months on the medication to get my energy back as well as a clearer head. I found I cannot loose any weight unless I stick to a 1200 calorie diet and one hour of exercise per day.

I missed the bubbles so I drink fizzy water with a squeeze of fresh lime or lemon. I also keep a glass pitcher of water in the fridge with sliced fruit in it. The flavor is great.

When I eat wheat / Gluten products I get extremely sleepy, my body aches and my head is foggy. If I eat food with trace amounts of gluten it will build up after a couple of days and really cause problems.

I have Plantar Facititis as well. It stopped me from exercising it hurt so bad. Water exercises, bicycling and weights are good until it heals. You can have orthotics made for your shoes that will take care of the problem. I have to wear them while on the eliptical and treadmill or my feet will flare up again. Good Luck!
