I remember a couple weeks back you were upset because you thought you stalled. Now you're losing 2lb/week. Out of curiosity, what do you think made the difference?

This. You have bigger fish to fry. After you get home, work up gradually to what you were doing before getting sick. Be kind to your body.

Take a trip down the spice aisle and get inspired.

You'll have to get creative. Do they have a salad bar? Or vegetarian options? Fresh fruit? Those will probably be a life-saver. Also remember the general rules: avoid creamy broth soups, fried food, etc. Do they have whole grain options? You don't have to cut out bread completely. I don't know what kind of meal plan you're…

Don't know how to post pics BUT... 1. Maria Sharapova. I may have a girl crush on her, but I'd take her body any day... 2. Alyssa Miller. Both of them are slender, but no bones sticking out. They also have similar structure to mine. No pronounced hips. However, they both have boobs, which I don't have. :-/ I'm surprised at…

I usually call my flub-ups "cheat days" (I don't plan them). Of course, moderation is the gold standard-- the behavior we aspire to-- but let's face it... there's something about eating the whole d*** box of oreos/cakes/chips/whatever. Like someone mentioned, it's like sneaking off to see your mistress... Not healthy but…

I'm sorry. That sucks. I don't know about "fixing" a metabolism. But now that you have that information, you may want to see a RD/nutritionist to make a new plan.

Why are you yelling at us?

Everyone carries weight differently. Can't say those examples hold true for me. If the standing BF scale was accurate, two years ago I was 17-18% BF @117 lbs. Can't say I looked as great as the lady in the picture did. No way. Still flabby. Perhaps I just have a small frame? EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!!!

Not cool to say while I'm eating oatmeal. :-/

Wow, what a total transformation! Not only physically, but a whole life transformation. Sorry for your losses, but I'm glad to hear you're now living life to the fullest doing what you have passion for!

Lol yeah... I was confused about that too. 37 lbs is nothing to shake a stick at! You look great! Soooo much happier in the hiking photos!
-
Woooza! You look great! Thanks for the inspirational post!

I'm on L2D6 today. I haven't noticed any changes in my body appearance-wise yet. I've actually gained weight since doing it (only about a pound, but still). No changes in measurements either. But, on the other hand, I do not have a lot to lose... I was also relatively in shape before starting (although I do not have any…

Quite simply, this.

Congrats! I'm sure you'll feel better as well!

Love dill on my salads. Fresh is better, of course, but I also keep my pantry stocked with dried. Also love a good recipe with thyme in it. Just made a delicious beef soup with thyme... also will use it on baked potatoes. Also use it (together with shallots, orange juice, and balsamic vinegar) to make my own salad…

The things I would do if I had 240 cals to play around with... *drools* Sure wouldn't be to down tablespoons of oil... But no, I don't think you did any harm by it.

Binged on Monday. After a couple night shifts (=no sleep), stressful situations at work, and PMSing, I ate whole pint of froyo and half a box of kasha cookies (but they're healthy, right?), a couple snack size bags of chips, etc. etc. Happy to say I logged all of it. I have to just reiterate what everyone else has said. Be…

No, but eating only fruit will make you sick.

Honestly, I think it's this. (or a virus) Exercising 3x/week really won't lead to overtraining. And you seem to have a really healthy, balanced diet. I wouldn't worry about it.

^^^ This. I'm sure she was just curious. But kudos to you for saying it's about being healthy, not what you look like. These are the attitudes she'll pick up when she starts caring about weight herself.

Interesting... A silver lining I guess? Too bad people can't be depended on to make those choices w/o severe economic depression...

I work out for nearly an hour most days of the week and love it. But anyway, listen to your body. Schedule rest days. Best of luck.
-
Relax! You'll exercise again... just don't push it now or it will take longer to recover. Amazing results BTW!

Still kinda new to this and playing around with how much to eat... My Fitness Pal has me at 1350 net; however, Decided to cap it at 1600, gross (so as not to eat all my exercise cals back... started to gain doing that when I was consuming 1800-1900 gross) 5'5" CW 119 GW 114 Exercise 6 days a week with a combination of…

Steak and cheese on wheat toasted with provolone, extra lettuce, green peppers, red onion, black olives, and ranch dressing. a little under 500 calories. Omnomnomnom.

How well I'm improving (NSV moments) or how much I want this workout to be over (lol). I'm also getting exciting about training for aquathlons and a half marathon. :) If I thought about hot steamy sex, I'd probably fall off the treadmill.

Sometimes I will say I'm going to the gym in the morning... and then it's 1pm... and then it's 3pm... and then it's 5pm. And by that time, I think of how busy it will be and just stay home. lol. I would just schedule it like you do other activities. I make time for it when I'm already out and about. That way, you're…

Agreed. Moreover, the emphasis there seemed to be strictly aethetics, not health. Not something I'd be interested in my older, wiser years (at 25 lol), but something I'd probably read in high school or early college, unfortunately. I'd say it's dangerous for young girls. It probably is. But it's a message that gets…
