I used to have that problem. It wasn't that my waist was too small it was that in order for the jeans to fit over my thighs and butt they had to be bigger then didn't fit my waist. I have no idea if this is your problem but once my thighs and butt got smaller I could find jeans that fit better. That's just my body type tho…

Yep, 1 cup of muscle will weigh more than 1 cup of fat because its a measurement of volume not weight and the muscle would be heavier. but if you have 100 tons of bricks and 100 tons of feathers they will weigh the same. It takes a LOT more feathers and a lot more space to hold the feathers but a ton is a measurement of…

I eat within an hour of waking to get my metabolism going for the day.

Basically the more you have to lose, the quicker it can be to lose it initially. Eventually it will slow down but for now get the most out of it. (eat the right foods, exercise etc). Great job and keep it up :)

Hi! I'm an American living in Birmingham . Feel free to add me (reference this thread in the message box please)

Lol

I do everything except plyo barefoot. All of the jumping in plyo ends up hurting my ankles after a while. I think it's goodfir your feet to be barefoot as much as possible

I'm 20 months post partum and am close to my fitness goals but I'll join. Good for you for starting early on! I waited until 4mpp lol

Bump!

I don't have experience but maybe it would help her to talk to a training coach, dietician, therapist if she needs. It takes a while for your brain to catch up with processing changes to your body which is probably making her anxious. Congrats to both of you btw!

Thank you :)

I found the exact same to be true for me!

I have it too and love it. No side effec issues for me. And I know you also said no to an iud but paraguard is non-hormonal (it's copper) so if you struggle with extra hormones, it might be really good for you

That is a valid point but I've only known her for a year and during that time I've slowly lost 10lbs. I've lost an inch from my thighs and 3 inches from my stomach in the last month (I suck it in so no one would notice I've lost from my stomach lol). Plus I was pregnant before when I was 205 lbs :) That's why I don't…

I don't quite fit your guidelines--I'm 5' 5 1/2" and 122lbs but I'll post if you'd like. Can't figure out how to post my pics tho! Lol

That's really rude of them! Sorry

I eat healthy food (the last few days on my diary are not normal! Lol I have a weakness for Oreos with pb) and exercise 6-7 days per week. I did jilian michael's 30 day shred and am now on day 50 of p90x. Before I had my daughter I never exercised, ate really badly and loads, and was always 130-145lbs. It's my body type…

The weight loss will come. If its a radical change your body might be hanging onto all of the calories that you eat instead of letting sone of them go. To keep this from happening, eat small portions throughout the day (no more than 2hrs without having some form of snack. Even a handful of nuts is enough) drink lots of…

I plan out my meals but don't log them until I actually eat it. I find logging as I go helps keep me on track and stops me snacking

I read in the August edition of Health & Fitness magazine that overindulgence in food creates weight gain more rapidly than once thought. It used to be thought that if you eat well and over eat only once in a while you won't gain weight because you aren't constantly over eating. This isn't entirely true. A study at Oxford…

Thank you. When I said I gained 30lbs 2 years ago, I gained that much in 3 months :/ I would sit down at night and eat an entire batch of no bake cookies for dessert after devouring a large pizza. Not good!

That is a good question! And you make a good point. I think the health line might be getting a bit blurred between anti-thin and pro-curvy campaigns. You don't e to be a stick--curvy is great but if you're 500lbs, you arent just curvy or big-boned
-
I've seen them , in fact I'm friends with some who is lovely and thin and tall! Sadly, I don't fall int that category being 5' 5 1/2" but I round up to 5' 6" ;)
-
Exactly!
-
It's all about what you eat. Obviously, you have to exercise too but if you aren't eating healthy food, you won't get rid if the belly fat.
-
I agree. I understand being concerned but no need to be mean! That makes you nice, not old

I don't really want to lose more weight just tone up and lose an inch from my upper thighs. I lose weight in that area last due to genetics (thanks mom lol). My friend asked me if I had an eating disorder and said my bones are sticking out. She accused me of sitting around eating celery all day! (which I do not) I've…

Try drinking more water. If its water retention, your body is hanging on to the water because you aren't drinking enough. Could it also be poor circulation because of the constant pressure on one side?
