I have a kind of a weird problem, I have always had a small waist, when I started my weight loss journey I wore a size 29" jeans. After losing 21lbs my waist has went down to a 27" and they are starting to get loose. I can't find jeans small enough and I still have about 10 lbs to go. Does anyone else have this problem also?

I used to have that problem. It wasn't that my waist was too small it was that in order for the jeans to fit over my thighs and butt they had to be bigger then didn't fit my waist. I have no idea if this is your problem but once my thighs and butt got smaller I could find jeans that fit better. That's just my body type tho but you can always buy jeans and have them altered so they fit correctly. It's better than bring too big for clothes, right? ;)

    Kudos for your accomplishments!

I read your profile. Maybe consider running or bicycling to beef up your lower body? BTW, it's a good problem to have, 27" waist. I'm jealous!

I have that problem. My waist isn't nearly as tiny as yours but my waist in comparison to my lower body is small...its hard to find clothes that fit correctly i usually have to buy low rise jeans.

    awww, poor baby..............really?

When I was 36, 24, 36 I never had trouble finding stuff to wear. But that was a long long time ago.

I just assume that it will be the same when I get thin again. Although I'm sure after 4 kids I will never see a 24 inch waist again.

Yep. I have about a 27" waist over ~42" hips. If I can get the hips and thighs to fit, I can pull the waist out, like, 6 inches in the back. URGH. I get them as close and humanly possible and get my friend to tailor the waist for me. I think that's the best fix you're going to find.

P.S you can buy jeans and have a tailor alter it to fit your waist. I've had to do that a couple of times

Shop at Kid's mart. I'm the same height and even when I'm in tremendous shape, 30" is usually the lowest size I go. Look for a young men's store, or ditch the jeans altogether. That's basically what I had to do because I couldn't fit my legs in even though the waist fit.

EDIT to say, that you can just become all "gangsta" and have them droop off your *kitten* with your boxers showing and no one would bat an eye.

They have smaller waisted jeans. I also found Docker's at JCPenny online with 28 waist. (2 years ago for my youngest son)

I don't mind so much having a small waist if my upper body matches it

Same problem here - tiny waist with a huge butt. There are a couple of brands that suit that figure better: Not Your Daughter's Jeans, Levi's 529 Curvy Boot Cut, Lee makes another, but I don't know the name of it. Buy to fit your bum/thighs, and take them to a seamstress or your local dry cleaners, as most have tailoring services available. Being short-waisted, I buy between my natural waist and belly button, then wear a fitted shirt to show off my hardwork so I don't have the "mom jeans" look. If money's not an issue, Michael Kors is the way to go. His jeans are mid-rise, fit like a dream, and last forever. Before I started losing weight, a friend gave me a pair she couldn't wear anymore; they were my only pair and I wore them everyday for a year. Not a fray, light-colored patch, ect. Still look brand new. Levi's will also make you a custom pair around $80 if you go to their website. Good luck!

I think I'm going to have to look into that, when I get to my ideal weight I think I will be looking for a 26" waist, same as high school, they just don't make a 26 or 27 waist in men's jeans that I can find

I'm just under a 27 waist and when I went to US I found that Lucky Brand jeans have the best fit, nice high back that doesn't leave a gap.
