  • The fitbit not only calculates the calories burned by activity, but it also counts how many you burn by just living. So even if you didn't do anything all day, it would still count your "living" calories burned. That's likely why you saw that 1700 number :smile: Hope that helps clear some of the confusion!

  • Small, realistic, attainable goals. Focus on short term tasks that you can accomplish right away. When you are able to hit those little goals (which all add up to the big one!), it gives you confidence and helps you keep at it. And don't quit! You can do it!
