I gained in the beginning in the first couple weeks and then the weight just flew off and I am leaner now then I have ever been in my life. It changed my life!
-
I did the entire program and I gained lean muscle and lost a ton of fat/weight on the program eating lean and higher protein. As for weight it is all personal, basically do a set of 10, if by the end it is really easy you are going too light, if you can barely lift your arms after your first set you are too heavy. You will…

I'm 5'11" and currently 153, wanted to get 150 but been between 153-157 for 9 months so I am happy with my 153. Lowest weight I have been since high school and have not been in a size 6 since grade school.
-
I eat back 1/2, first to accommodate over estimation of exercise calories and to accommodate under estimate of calories consumed. Worked well for me when I was loosing, now that I am closer to maintainance, I eat back more and assure things like proteins are hit since I strength train.

I have been at the same weight for over 6 months, my body seems to have decided that I am in maintenance, however when I switched my status to be maintain and started eating at the calories suggested I started to gain so I went back down to where I was at loosing and lost the weight and have stayed the same for a while…

oh and also I looked back recently at some old pictures of me 3 years ago (not that a lot existed because I would make my DH delete every picture he took of me) and was SHOCKED how big I used to be, it came on over years, I knew I was big but was amazed how big I was - why had NO ONE said anything!

my husband and I were on our way to a concert in Toronto, just the two of us (our daughter was with her grandparents for the night) and we started talking how I felt I had lost myself, I hated the way I felt (had high BP) and looked and was scared for the future. I told him that we needed to reevaluate our finances and…

technically I did it on my own, my own meal planning, dragging my butt to the gym but I did have a couple friends who gave me some amazing pointers that certainly helped. I lost most of my weight before I found MFP but the last 15-20 lbs were from food logging on here.
-
same response as many others, MFP has it set WAY too low, I have adjusted my macros accordingly.

I had already started loosing weight when I started strength training with the encouragement of a friend of mine who was further on her path to weight loss and a healthy life. She was the one that introduced me to New Rules of Lifting for Women, it changed my life and I lost TONS of inches when I started this program. They…

what an incredible transformation, what a difference a year made!

feel free to add me as well, I am a busy mom of one but run a business that cares/educates 5 additional wee ones. I know how lonely this journey can be, feel free to add me!

take one battle at a time, don't focus on a size, weight, just a goal to make a healthy choice at a time. Make smaller goals. I am an all in or nothing person which is why I sat in limbo for years. Once I decided I was doing it I was in it full commitment. You want to add me please do, I would love to be a support person…

when I was at the beginning of the journey and with any major life changing task the idea of omg look how different my life could be in a year is what motivates me. Just decide to take control! Today a package arrived that I had ordered online, I was still afraid when I pulled out these tiny clothes that they were NEVER…

I'm 5'11", I have not done after pics yet not ready to and not ready quite yet to post. But I started out at 230 (size 16+) and now at 153 (give or take) and in a size 6 for dresses and pants.
-
I have lost over 75lbs, I didn't find MFP until I was about 50lbs down so I didn't food log until the last part of my journey. As for calories I ate, I typically ate what MFP told me to eat, I would eat back about 1/2 my calories on workout days to account for over estimation on calorie burn. I also adjusted my macros…

I upped my calories a bit when I moved to strength training but the biggest change was around protein, I really upped them and assured I had a solid lean protein at each meal, lots of water and a post workout protein to help with recovery.

I'm 5'11", I started out at 230 size 16, I am now 153 and wearing a size 6. I have never been this size since I was pre-puberty. Always thought I was going to be 'bigger' and was told I was big boned. Proved myself wrong and now wear size S in tops and size 6 in bottoms. And I'm over 40 so proof you can loose the weight…

any you look AMAZING in them! WTG!
