Hi Lexi, If you like being outside, just start with a walk! I lost 30lbs just from walking at a 4mph pace, and eventually building up the endurance to run throughout my walks. Although the weight came off, I needed to tone up, so I started doing the Jillian Michaels DVD's. I eventually came across the website…

Her website states that you will burn approximately 100 calories per mile, and her miles are done in 15 minutes, so the previous poster is correct. Use either a 3.5mph or 4mph selection, and you should be pretty close to accurate.

Start with your profile, and what you wrote about yourself. Is that still true today? You just have to get your head back in the game and stay focused and determined. By the way, congratulations on dropping nearly 70lbs!!!! What an accomplishment that is!! Think about how you felt when the weight was coming off, how…

Amen!!!!! I didn't work out yesterday just becuase I get so sick of taking a shower everyday! I work from home, so I don't have a need for one everyday, but can't stand going to bed after I've gotten all sweaty. It's good to know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Jillian is great, but I swear by the Fitness Blender videos that you just watch online. My body is totally transforming with these workouts. Their website is www.fitnessblender.com, totally free. Although it is a bit time consuming to go through all of their videos, they are releasing a great deal of search features to…

Doesn't sound like you are plugging in your weight on your bike. Previous poster is correct, you should be burning upwards of 400+ calories at your pace.

Lace up your sneakers, walk out the front door, and walk! That's all it takes!! Your body will eventually build up the endurance to walk further, faster and stronger, and before you know it you will LOVE exercising!

It took me exactly 6 months to drop 30lbs. I walked anywhere from 3-4 miles a day roughly 4 days a week. I didn't do any weight training, only cardio, so I think it would have come off faster if I had built some muscle.

I swear by Fitness Blender. They are amazing!

Form is everything when it comes to squats, and very important for not hurting yourself. You should do a search on Google for different types of squats and a whole list of great sites will pop up that will show you the correct form, many with videos that you can watch.

True, hard shell is lower calories. Check out Taco Bell's Nutrition breakdown on their website, they list everything for us so we can plan better.

I always go for a steamed or sauteed vegetable dish (in very light oil) with a chicken broth based sauce instead of a heavy sodium filled dark sauce. I normally order what's called the Four Season Vegetables, cooked with broccoli, onion, bell pepper, baby corn, bamboo shoot, water chestnut & carrot sauteed with chef's…

That's exactly what I do too. My whole closet is nothing but compression pants, running shorts, tank tops and sports bras!

I would suggest Aerobics, low impact or Dancing, general.

I second this, pushups (from your knee position) and squats are two of the absolute best exercises there are for toning, and not one dumbbell is needed!!

There is an awesome support group founded by one of our own MFP friends, and I've just sent her a message to send you an invite to join. We are over 400 members strong, and support each other on a daily basis on FB. But as Shauncho49 said, MFP is the BEST place for support. Keep the 2 worlds separate and we will do…

Honestly, in my opinion, a pill is not what you need, it all boils down to what you eat and how much sleep you get. Maybe instead of going to the gym, you go for a walk or a run instead. If you don't have the energy to workout there, perhaps you will feel better if you are in a different location. Or if you can, change the…

Seriously, I'm on the way too!!!! But since you asked, I'm having Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Baby Red Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Bell Peppers and Onions.

Yup, I think you're right!

I use Itunes and search for specific 130BPM podcast. I walk/run anywhere between a 13 to 15 min/mi, so I only go up to 4mph. The 130BPM shows below are perfect, but there are others that are at a much faster pace. A couple of my favorites are: DJ Deep Drush 130BPM Radio Show Running to the Beat by DJ Peter Canellis

I've always heard not to walk with leg weights. You don't want to build your leg muscles, just tone them, not to mention it could injure you or strain something. Keep doing your intervals, increasing your hill work, and even pick up some light jogging. Good article on Livestrong.…

I just discovered Fitness Blender, and their workouts are amazing!!! Finding the perfect video can be taunting however. I actually spent the other day going through all relative videos that I was interested in, and pinned them to specific boards that I have set up on Pinterest. So if I want to do a HIIT video one day, I'll…

I use skinnytaste recipes nearly every night!!! Also check out the following, really good ones here too. Skinnytaste remains my favorite!! I literally spent the ENTIRE day on their website!! I figured out a way around it. I have boards on Pinterest set up specifically for arms, legs, cardio, total body, toning, etc. And I just "pinned" the videos I was interested in to those boards. So if I want to work on legs one day, I just go to my legs board. If I need…

Just curious, is there a way to save your favorite videos to create a plan rather than purchasing the 8 week program? I guess you could on YouTube, but it would be awesome to have this functionality on their actual site. I just came across Fitness Blender today and I'm in shock of how incredible these workouts are. I'm…

I lost 30lbs. from walking alone!! I worked up to running for part of my runs, found some awesome hills to challenge me, for 45 minutes to an hour each walk 4-5 days a week. No gym required! Download the "Map My Walk" app to your phone so you can track your progress for motivation. This app is free. Now that I'm down in…
