I joined in 2011 too! I lost 85lbs but then met my husband (here on MFP ☺️) and have since gained it all back. I’m not currently trying to lose weight but I do log in every day. I use the app and it doesn’t seem so “friend friendly” anymore, unless I’m missing something. I don’t see a newsfeed with my friends exercises or…

I just sent another one. If it doesn’t get to you, you can always search for it in the Groups section.
-
Did you get my invite to the group? It’s private so no one can see what’s posted except for the members in it.
-
You are welcome to join the group! There’s only me in there right now LOL I changed the name to Planning a Wedding in Canada.
-
No Canadians planning a wedding right now?

Wonderful job!! I just ended a 16 year marriage myself!

I've been using a FitBit for almost 4 1/2 years now. First the Ultra and then the One. LOVE mine...I don't think I would've lost 85lbs without it!

85lb difference, 22 months, 5'2"

No one forced you to come in... I for one, like to hear happy news...beats listening to all the negativity in the news nowadays!

We met during

I'm sure there are lots of people out there that have met online. I'd just like to meet a few that have found someone on here unintentionally.

Here is my story... :) https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1308854/a-52-fat-chick-lost-85lbs-and-became-a-hot-mama/p1#

Bluenoser living in ON. :)

Neither of us were on this site to find someone. We were both losing weight to better ourselves. We just happened upon each other by chance. I never thought I'd meet someone online and pursue a relationship! Some, I'm sure, are actually here to find someone, but I wouldn't call MFP a dating site.

I'm 5'2" and lost 85lbs. You can see a few photos in my profile, but here's the main one I show...

No, I didn't have surgery. I do have loose skin, but it's all hidden by my jeans. 98% of my exercise is walking/hiking. The other 2% was Walk Away the Pounds DVD & 30 Day Shred DVD, so I didn't really focus on my belly/abs at all. It's actually more flabby than it looks. LOL Thanks for the compliment though.
-
I'm 5'2" and started at 218lbs. I gained a few pounds over the winter that I'm going to have to drop soon, but I still mostly look like in the after pics. :)

@kindergartenpam, are you talking to me? If so, I'm 40
-
I'm 5'2" and started at 218lbs. Got down to 133 but am up to 145 right now...you know...winter gain.
-
At 133lbs I have a 28" waist and 34.5" hips. When I first started at 218lbs I had a 42" waist and 47.5" hips.
-
I've tried other things, but walking keeps me going at it. I love walking outside...see the beauty in things I normally wouldn't. I hate walking on the treadmill though!
-
Just keep at it and don't give up! You'll meet your goals for sure!
-
Normally I don't add friends that have closed profiles, but sure :)

98% of my exercise is walking. My furthest to date is 18.56km (11.5 miles) in one workout. I went from 218 to 133, pics in my profile.
-
I just ate less than what I burned and tried to keep my protein intake up. :) I definitely didn't eat clean! If you read my thread you'll see other information. :)

I lost 13.75" in my waist and 13" in my hips from August '12 to June '14 and I've been mostly maintaining since, although I want to lose another 15lbs. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1308854/a-52-fat-chick-lost-85lbs-and-became-a-hot-mama/p1
